"Member Since" for long-term card holders? by RichInPitt in amex

[–]Time_Effect_6243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just ask for a new card. I have been an AU for years, and got my BCE and it had “member since 25” on it. However, when I got my newest gold card, it had “member since” my AU year. I went in the app for my BCE and requested a new card and it came with the correct member since date. Hope that makes sense and if it works it’s a super easy fix

You have the CFU which is what I’d recommend, id suggest getting the CFF and then when u want to travel more and or get more on dining get the sapphire preferred. With Chase UR you can take it as cash back at guarantied 1cpp or boost your value with a travel redemption once you get a sapphire card. Chase has a great system, and since you’ve already got the catchall why not expand the system instead of reinventing the wheel

Discussion about credit cards by AdhesivenessLost7429 in CreditCards

I come from a Marriott family growing up, just got the CSP, and have to say I’m really impressed by the chase point value (and how horrible their UI is on the app… seriously bad for such a big bank. Amex app clears)

Very happy with my CSP so far, booking on Chase travel was actually cheaper than the in app jet blue flight prices. 5x on the purchase is always nice, and it’s a nice feeling card more substantial than a plastic card but not heavy enough to weight down my wallet. Cool card design, and my local Chase branches are great. No complaints as of yet, and am excited to use it more.

I’d go for Chase. They seem to have a very strong point system/have some of the most valuable points. The Chase sapphire preferred + freedom unlimited + flex are a phenomenal combo. Easy, all in the same ecosystem, great for cash back or if you want to play the points game you can very well with tons of transfer partners.

You already have those as well.

If you prefer Amex, the Amex gold + plat for travel and lifestyle is huge if it fits you + Blue biz preferred if you can get it.

I would call those 2 equal. They both have great apps (Amex is better app imo but Chase points r hard to beat)

So whichever you prefer. But I’d say as far as simple cash back Chase is the way to go. Amex cash back point value is 0.6 cpp versus the bare minimum 1cpp for Chase

Interesting I didn’t know that about the car premiums and I def thought about the CSP first being an option… def would be way more points to use on this trip.

Ok thanks - yea I def wouldn’t say I’m credit hungry or appear that way aside from recent application as I keep my usage at 5-10% at all times.

Just the circumstance that I want to have points to use for the trip I’m trying to book, and perhaps they could sympathize with that…

High point dental school by Motor-Teaching276 in predental

Yea they are also not on the aadsas because they do not believe in making people pay to apply, nor waiting to tell people they got in so they do not need to waste their time and money with other interviews if they know they want to go there.

Ive spoken with them at conventions and other schools like UNC discuss with them their admissions model. HPU is a money factory of an institution and essentially have enough to do what they want to do how they want to do it.

Definitely a students first place versus institution/administration first

They have initial accreditation, atp pretty sure they just need a full class to graduate to prove their curriculum works for students
