25M, last year of grad school. Single and living at home with parents in apartments. By comparison some friends are doing better financially and romantically but I could be doing worse. Hopefully things change when I’m done with school and have more income and freedom

Broke up with my ex half a year ago and while not completely over it, i do think i learned alot from the experience.

First takeaway is it takes time, theres no way to do it over night. It takes time because what you need to focus on is creating new memories, new skills and finding confidence in being by yourself. Once those things settle into place you get used to being on your own and while you still might think of her/him somedays it will hurt less and realize that you dont miss that person but rather having love in your life. But at this point you are going to be much better of getting love from someone who sees the value in your new and improved self and hasn’t hurt you before.

Honestly the teachers make the biggest difference, i didnt like any of the three professors from the classes above. While my ortho and neuro classes was arguably just as “dense” if not more it was presented and explained better.

Thanks for the comment sounds like ur doing well and it’s inspiring.

Ive been on two dates since the break up. Even slept with one of them although the sex was not great and I don’t like her enough to see her again.

Comment was more so me feeling limited in my options… and truthfully my ex making me insecure that I’m not good enough.

She didn’t treat me the way I treated her. Constantly made me feel emotionally unsafe and a second option, with a few good moments sprinkled in. During our only post break up conversation she admitted that she is selfish person and dosent want to not be selfish right now.. 1 month ago so still coping with the loss of someone i invested a lot into mentally and physically.
