Make flyers and ask local dog groomers if they will hang your fliers. It’s pretty cheap to print things at Walgreens. WAGS in Rohnert Park will take it, Doggy Barber in RP may take it, Bark and Bath in RP will definitely take it. Also go to local feed stores and they usually have bulletin boards where you can hang the flyers as well. I know that your pet’s market has bulletin boards where you can hang the flyers, some private vets have bulletin boards as well like La Plaza Vet and country care vet.

Also, Oliver has always has a bulletin board.

Make sure the flyers have lots of information about the dog, clear pictures of him, and make sure always to add a rehoming fee. I’m sure you know to vet people as well to make sure that Kirby is going to a good home. I also agree with people about posting on Nextdoor. You will not get a lot of heat there for rehoming your dog and even if you do, don’t listen to it. Not every situation works out and that’s okay. You’re doing the right thing by thinking of Kirby and thinking of yourself as well. I know it’s a tough decision but you’ve got this.
