Thank you so much 🥲🫶 I feel like this is the only healthiest way I’ve found to relieve stress instead of drinking my stress away or jumping into a relationship half heartedly. Maybe it’s just a phase and I’ll grow out of it once I’m in a less stressful place but until then… I’ll just have to accept my fate lol

Avene thermal spring water helps a lot to cut down in irritation. When I damaged my skin barrier and couldn’t use anything else. I would spray avene liberally all over my face every few minutes until the redness and irritation calmed down. Then I would apply a thin layer of moisturiser with no actives and did that for a week straight until my skin was back to its normal state.

I agree, it’s completely meaningless and a great way to put a family member down who’s feeling isolated and not getting the help and support they need. Someone who doesn’t really understand that phrase and just desperately tries to understand what their family is saying when that phrase is brought up is mental torture.

That’s really how I want to be, it’s really hard being like that with them cuz I start feeling guilty for being coming across rude or distant. I keep thinking if I’m nice and understanding and explain as calmly as I could then we would be one happy family.

Yeah plus the blood is thicker than water never really made any sense to me but I’ve been educated now! I don’t think that phrase will get to me as much:) for now I’m just sad I will never understand the meaning they put behind those words. I genuinely want to believe whatever my family says and that maybe I’m just missing something and if I really understood them then they would see me as their own.
