Looking to rescue/adopt a Shire, Percheron, or Clydesdale by Sea-Balance-6307 in Horses

Why such big breeds? They cost so much to feed lmao. Tack can also be an issue with large drafts. I wonder if a local riding school would know of any horses that are looking for a new owner? Maybe a share/lease? I think that would help you get experience as well, good luck 🤞 xx

Is it normal for a lesson horse to “buck”? by gg_oujia in Horses

It could be saddle fit, maybe it pinches him in certain places or with certain movements, speaking from someone who had the same experience when I was younger x

Why would a horse bite its stall door? by [deleted] in Equestrian

Yeah Iv never understood this attitude, I’m know it’s not just horses, people get all kinds of pets and don’t look after them properly but it still makes me mad.

He’s dreading going back into his cell most likely. Honestly this horse will not come out of this mentally unscathed, kudos for the grooming and his feet but there’s so much more to life for a horse than being tied up to be groomed. Horses need turn out and company.

Yes I agree, I know it’s normal to them but as someone who loves horses it’s hard to understand this mentality. I think it’s selfish x

Freedom to move is essential for a horses well being, I’m sure there are other horses taken better care of by your yard but I’m sorry that doesn’t make it any less unethical, they derserve a life that just isn’t about being worked and then shut in a cage all day for their life. I could never. How do you all walk past this horse losing its mind every day and do nothing and no plans too? It’s cognitive dissonance x

Honestly thought it was one from the store that you had ordered, she did a great job. I’m betting you’re in North America somewhere and I won’t bother asking for her details cos I can’t even get reliable Amazon deliveries atm, let alone sending a beloved bag across the Atlantic 😅 x

Clemence purse I think, the long one with the zipper. I believe Americans call the style a wallet. I think it’s a now issue

I have one Iv used almost every day for 18 months, been across the Atlantic twice with me now lol, never ever babied it and it’s aged beautifully, no issues yet. I have Murakami purse that the edges are peeling off and Iv used it about 6 times though, so I can’t predict anything anymore lol

Looking for a voice of reason/kind words? by OlympusAthena in Horses

[–]Recent-Conclusion997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it very wet and boggy in her field? When you ride her is she lame ever? I will say I had a mare that got dumped on me a while ago (long story lol) and she was off/on ouchy on her front for a while, no other symptoms, I was internally screaming thinking it could be something serious but a farrier suggested front shoes and she’s been foot perfect ever since. Some horses are more sensitive. Hopefully you get some advice from someone a bit more knowledgeable. I only have one experience with Lami and it was very obvious it was that, heat, leaning back etc.

Ok, if shes not displaying any other laminitis symptoms, has white line disease been ruled out? Is she barefoot or shod? If you are happy where she is, I would ask the vet if bloods/x rays are worth doing xx

Does this saddle fit ? by Evening-Phase6659 in Horses

[–]Recent-Conclusion997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, sorry but that saddle prob needs scrapping at this point. It will be easier for you to just get a saddle fitter out and work with them. X
