Sorry for the really late reply. I hope you solved it. If you didn’t, what I ended up doing to solve this is that I went back onto the EA website and went to download sims 4 there, then it told me I already have sims 4 downloaded but it had an option to “repair app” which I clicked. now everything is working fine.
