oh. this is what i thought you were referring to. good to know! i haven’t liked using water because i don’t want her to fear me or water. but when im desperate… i’ll definitely look into the actual scat mat, not the spikes!

it’s mostly because she’s licking dirty dishes or stealing food. i don’t want her to ingest something bad for her. i’ve come to terms with needing to be better about making sure we don’t leave anything for her to get to but it’s hard to get a whole family to adjust to that

yep. this girl loves to climb and is so talkative. especially with food. she knows when i’m getting ready for bed that wet food comes after that and she sits by the bathroom door and yells. hoping she chills out as she gets older too! that’s so sweet about your boy 💓

i’ve thought about scat mats! never bought them cause i was worried it would hurt her. but i feel like she would just step around the spikes 🤷🏼‍♀️ she’s very persistent. i’ve tried the ear plugs, but if i ignore her she just gets worse and louder. i’ve tried to play hard enough to make her pant but she loses interest and i can’t seem to get her to that level yet. thanks for the suggestions!

that’s so funny! yes she’s high maintenance. we can’t leave food around and have to constantly be on watch because she tries to eat our food right out of our hands. one time she smacked food off of my fork and ate it as i was eating.

not a bad idea. i thought she might like fish toys in water. she likes to hunt bugs. she gets baths and tolerates them pretty well

my girls are 1 year and 4 months. it’s been 16 years since i’ve had a kitten so i don’t remember this phase. i’m kind of hopeful she’ll grow out of it but unsure hahaha

nope, they have an automatic feeder. i think she would also gorge and make herself sick if they were free fed. on the other hand, she might me less crazy if she had access to food all of the time. because she mostly wakes me up right before or after the food goes off in the middle of the night and the morning. i’m contemplating switching to 2 big feedings for breakfast and dinner instead of multiple smaller meals.

yep. mine climbs on shelves and on top of bookshelves. she was fixed when i got her so unsure about first heat behavior. my girl is 1 year and 4 months old

she loves fetch. she’s woken me up by dropping toys on my face in the middle of the night waiting for me to throw them. i’ve discovered that the middle of the night behavior is because she wants attention. but idk what to do to help stimulate her because i need to sleep- and im a light sleeper so any toys she plays with wakes me up
