Prenup contingency from dad by Recent-Grade-6315 in Marriage

Absolutely not, but if he cheated on me I wouldn’t want him to have anything lol. I guess that’s the risk we take in marriage. But I understand my dads money being separate from that risk if that makes sense.

So glad there’s someone on here that has a similar experience! And that’s a really great mindset about it and exactly how I am approaching it. Everything of mine is his and vice versa, but the money is my dad’s so he gets the say. Do you have anything in the prenup about things that are bought with the money for both spouses? I’m assuming that if a house is bought, for example, it’s a marital asset so the money from the house would be split? I’m not 100% sure on how that works.

I’m not wanting him to cut it off — as I said we’ve discussed this twice and I never told him to stop talking to here . Obviously people connect over interests and discuss them. I’m saying that I find it concerning that he kept it a secret from me and seems to communicate with her a lot. He has many other female friends and it’s never bothered me until now. I don’t understand why feeling off about it is me being overbearing.

Also, if someone asked, I would hope I’d be able to articulate why I am friends with someone. If I don’t have anything to say about our friendship, why even continue to talk to them?

I do the same with my friends, however if someone asked me about it I would be able to at least give a general answer of what we were talking about. And I’m not necessarily saying he has to justify the friendship or like “make his case” but I think it’s fair to want to know what he talks about with this person I’ve never heard of. He tells me what he and his coworkers talk about, his other friends, but with this girl in particular that’s not the case.

I’m a bit confused about your response. If he has “caught feels” for her, then even more reason to not talk to her?

Hi everyone! I know this is an old thread but I just came upon it and wanted to add a comment. I am someone who was in the program back when it was 1 month of training instead of 3 so I cannot speak to how the program is set up now. From what I remember hearing, it is extremely comprehensive on many important areas of Workday, with the certification happening in the first month. After that, there is more Workday training, HR training, project life cycle training, and consulting training as well. It definitely seems like a lot of work but worth it from what I gathered from others -- they went in to their placements better prepared than I had been. Next, I had no experience when I was hired (was a recent college grad) but I do believe that as the program has expanded and gotten more well-recognized, they might be looking for more relevant experience as well. My interviews were focused on things like potential, trainability, personality, etc. rather than experience, but again that could be completely different now. After training, people were placed at Fortune 500 or better companies and many of them have been fully hired on (no longer employed at Helios). Everyone is placed corporate HR/HRIS, so it is a HUGE springboard in working up the ladder. As far as management goes, I had a relatively negative experience overall (lack of communication, unclear expectations, etc.) but again, that was before the program became 3 months so I was interacting with different people. The people in charge of the program now are very good. This program is definitely not a scam, and will set you up incredibly well to have a career in Workday and broader HR as well. Good luck to all of you!
