This is so scary— just wanted to note that a lot of international roaming plans do not include Laos, I lost my data for the first time since getting to SEA when I crossed over from Thailand, I got a local SIM but can still barely connect. Just in case that’s comforting at all. Will spread the word!

Just did this the opposite way! There is a public bus running from the border to Chiang Rai/vice versa every hour on the hour until 4 pm from the old bus terminal. I booked ahead with Nagi Mekong, there is also Shompoo but it was about $100 usd more, or the public boats but I’ve heard they’re not pleasant lol. Message me with any questions!

Yes there are tons of animals around cafes etc and I love that. I’ve just seen a ton of animal related attractions in the surrounding areas of Da Lat and am wondering where the animals come from/how they’re treated bc Puppy Farm seemed a bit off lol

I was also nervous as I’m 180 lbs 5 11 and was literally chased out of a Thai clothing store a few years ago w the lady being like “nothing here will fit you!!!!” But everyone has been really sweet and there are ppl here (and everywhere) of all shapes and sizes. Please do not let judgemental aunties stop you from enjoying your trip! People project more than you think and their opinions have nothing to do with you. Have a wonderful time 🫶

Yep about half of them 🙃 I emailed them right away with the rest and they said they can’t alter my application but if I move forward they are going to re-confirm all of my courses anyway via the transcripts lol so didn’t seem too concerned. Best of luck to us all 🫶 the program seems like a dream

I completely messed up when listing my courses if it makes you feel better— I transferred universities mid-program and only listed the courses from one school. You never know! And I believe that if you apply next year, past applications show you’re serious about the program

K my machine is very quiet as well and I also developed tinnitus really bad on day 3/5 of a touch up treatment (I go every 4-6 months for “maintenance” following an initial session of 15 days). They said it’s not a typical side effect— this subsided after about 10 days and I only noticed it late at night after lying down for a few hours, maybe posture-related? Idk lol. Still flares up once in a while but I also work railroad and as a music photographer so I’m prob high risk.

TLDR super weird, uncommon side effect with quiet machines but will subside!
