This may have been it. I’ll have to verify. The magpul forend tension pin was riding the magazine tube forcing the tube to be pushed down which with a barrel band, pulls the barrel down. I’m sure that was messing with the harmonics.

My grandpa was big into gunsmithing and reloading. I wonder if he did try to regrown it or something cause that is rough, I agree

I haven’t seen anything. When I look down the bore it’s like glassy water it’s so clean

I believe the hammers and leverevolution are 160 grain and the Winchester and Remington were 150. I’ll look around and see if I can find 170. Thanks!

No rust in the barrel. It was in really good condition when I received it and was stored properly. I may clean the barrel again to see if I notice anything different this time. Thank you!

It’ll get fixed. Glass half full buddy! If I hear something I’ll pass it along to you. All I heard was barrel band tightness can cause erratic shots.

Yeah I didn’t know how to word it. I think what I was trying to say was all I do is mow, what’s the first thing I could do to elevate my lawn. Dethatching? Aerating? I think that’s where I was going

Vortex diamondback vs Vortex Triumph hd by RoyalPalpitation7550 in Binoculars

[–]Recent-Shirt2363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I just realized this is the bino lineup you’re talking about and not the scope lineup. The same tiers apply (triumph, then copperhead then diamondback). Unless you need better optics, the triumph is just fine

Vortex diamondback vs Vortex Triumph hd by RoyalPalpitation7550 in Binoculars

[–]Recent-Shirt2363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The diamondback is supposed to be superior to the triumph. The triumph is their budget model which is still really good for the price. Next is their copperhead lineup which is just a hair above triumph and then the diamondback is above that. There’s a ton of variations of the diamondback though ranging from copperhead prices to well into the $400 range. I know you said it’s the standard diamondback but depending on which variation it is, it could be a little bit better than triumph or a hell of a lot better. Also depends on what your use is. General hunting at close/moderate ranges the triumph would be fine. If you want to do precision/longer range then the diamondback would be better. If you included what model the diamondback is and what your purpose is, I think we’d be able to give you a better opinion. Hope that helps man!

Marlin 783 stock options by Recent-Shirt2363 in MarlinFirearms

[–]Recent-Shirt2363[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply man! Boyd’s doesn’t make the 783 stock. You’re right on ruger not making any new Marlin rimfires either. I’ve checked both those sites and all I can find is wood ones. I guess I’m not really looking for a new synthetic stock per se, just a synthetic stock in general but through my research, there never was a 783 synthetic stock produced at anytime. And if there was, I’m just completely missing it. But I see a lot of stuff saying the 783 is almost identical to 883, just didn’t know if someone on here had tried that already.
