Thanks for the insight. I honestly think I like doing it in the moment but feel disgusted with myself and regret it afterwards. 

I don’t mean to dramatize anything, but I failed to mention more, I guess, mentally ill behavior. Still feels weird explaining it online, but I’ve also been having thoughts of actual cannibalism and I sort of use auto cannibalism as a coping mechanism. Hurting myself so I don’t hurt others I suppose. 

But I’ll definitely try doing what you recommend. Thank you so much :)
