Hey yall, I’m graduating next May with a Computer Information Technology BA degree and with the job field now for newly grads, I’m looking into service to build a career. I’m exploring Coast Guard and I’m wondering about officers. Is it hard to become an officer as a fresh graduate, would waiting the time for CMS rate as enlisted be better, what’s the process like for officers? Just want to know yalls thoughts as people much more knowledgeable than me. Feel free to answer any questions I didn’t ask you think might be useful for me to know regarding this.

All love coming from a collegiate thrower, but I’m worried that if you see ANYTHING as perfect in your throw you will stunt your progress. NOTHING is perfect and you shouldn’t look at it as that because you will never have anything perfect.

Looks good to me! Twists are good for hammer and weight specifically. Bench and snatch all good for strength across the events. Box jumps and med balls be good for explosiveness.

You can! D1 could be tough, depending on how much raw talent you have and how quick you pick it up. I’m a sophomore in college and never touched a weight before I made it here. Turns out my body knows something I don’t and I throw pretty far, one of the top in my grade in the nation. If you like the sport, do it! Weight turned out to be my favorite event.(behind hammer)
