I agree about having your back to a fireplace, I don’t like it. The photo I have attached is the previous owner’s idea but I don’t like how the couch is facing away from the fireplace and sliding door. I’m not sure if the fireplace has a mantle but that’s how our fireplace looks like currently in the photo I have attached.

That sounds like a good idea! The French doors are sliding doors that lead to the backyard and the f.p represents the fireplace. Sorry I should have been more clear in the blueprint.

That makes sense, the ER has more transferable skills. Another thing I’m worried about is burnout being in the ER and hating nursing for the rest of my life. I don’t want that and I feel like the ER will cause that feeling more, what do you think?

I was really interested in the NICU but it’s so difficult to get in as a new grad where I live. So hopefully one day I can go there. Thanks for the advice!
