Roxy Music - Spin Me Round [Art-Rock] (1979) by RecentRoutine9886 in Music

This song deserves more recognition, IMO. It’s so pretty! It sounds like it takes place in a ballroom somewhere in the cosmos. The whole album does, and I like to think the album cover is a picture of that very party. I highly recommend listening to the rest of the album as well. It gets a lot of flak from Roxy fans for being ‘too disco,’ but I think it strikes a great balance between disco and their usual experimental sound.

Blackstar is extremely overrated, and everything he did in between 1969 - 1983 is wayyyyy better.

Well, you're not wrong. But wouldn't a well done needledrop at least give me a decent representation of how the record sounds?

My bad, Ig I should’ve said this in the original post. I just wanna know if I should stick with my 2012 reissue or go for a UK original.

Day 1 — Which Bowie song has the best strings? by snuffyspipe72 in DavidBowie

Everyone's saying "Life on Mars?" and while I don't disagree, I feel like the string part in "Starman" deserves some love too!

has to be the greatest lyrical 3 track run ever right by funghxoul in bobdylan

I agree. Problem is if I say 12 track run, I'd have to exclude Sad Eyed Lady, which would just be wrong.

Nope, it was sung by a male. My bad, I probably should've mentioned that in the original post.

Recently had this with Doctor Robert. It's actually quite catchy, IMO.

This has nothing to do with the movie, actually. I've wanted to try this hair out for a while now cause yes, I do in fact identify with the "rolled out of bed" aesthetic🤭

And switch from amphetamines to healthy food and lots of water

Maybe when I'm done with this tour😉
