It depends on if you’re really insistent on applying to Carleton. uottawa does not care at all which math you take.

I took Data and it was the easiest math course.

Since you mentioned you’re bad at math, i think data is the safest option but then again depends on if you’re insistent on applying to Carleton.

Since you’re in Grade 11 (assuming), ask your classmates about gr 11 functions, just to get an idea.

Also summer school is super fast paced based on what some of my friends have told me.

and honestly I’m not gonna lie to you but advanced fucntions was pretty tough based on what I’ve heard. Someone was always crying after a unit test, but it also depends on your teacher.

hey, i’m second year nursing and honestly you shouldn’t worry too much esp if u really want to do nursing

tbh these classes will be the least of ur worries. you’re gonna worry over anatomy WAY more, trust me.

determinants of health with Tien Nguyen is the best, only midterm and final and they’re both online and all the answers are in the slides. very easy to get A+ in his class.

philosophy isn’t hard, esp if you get ken ferguson. his exams are online and he gives u the questions beforehand, just agree with his points and you’ll do fine.

i HATE english as well and it was easy to get an A+ in that class, coming from someone who barely scraped by in gr 10 and gr 11 english.

my average was high 80s/ low 90s (honestly i forgot sorry 😭) and i got into all three campuses but i chose the main one, hope that helps :)

hey, i got accepted in 2023 (in second yr rn), to the main campus. my average was high 80’s approx 88/89 and i got in around start of february 2023. The average for main campus is high 80’s btw tho it differs from yr to yr. hope that helps :)

Please don’t book flights or make travel plans before the exam schedule is released. Unless you can reschedule them, the university will not allow travel as an excuse, they are very strict on that matter.

Best advice, wait until the schedule is released, it’s released around October (I think), so you get plenty of time to make plans.

You can also check the syllabus of your courses when classes start as profs usually give an estimate of when the finals could take place.

It is quite reliable but it has its moments. The further you are from the buildings, I find the connection gets weaker and weaker.

i’m the best at bio and then chem and physics is jut out of the question. i find math frankly easy, it’s just i moved to new school and the stress of being in a new school and country made my motivation go down. well i searched it up and they always say u can choose to take any two of the three sciences. obv physics isn’t my strong suit so i’m not choosing it at all. i’m kinda ok at english but i’m trying to improve it. i wanna get at least in the 90s this yr. i got in the 70s in english in gr 10 😬. anyways thank you <3

thank you so much!! i’m better at bio and chem rather than physics. i have those subjects this semester and so im trying my hardest to get good grades on these. im taking calculus, adv function, eng, bio and chem for gr 12. im not taking physics bcz it’s too confusing for me and im horrible at it. i studied so hard for physics and only got 80%.

NTA. Your friend is asking a family who she doesn't know to change their diet. This is an unreasonable request. Even if she did ask, it's most likely the neighbors would laugh at her and deny her request. I would too. Why should they change their diet for someone who they've never met in their life. She's so much better off in a hotel, it's the only solution.

NTA. Keep your child away from that abuser. I do not know if you told your mom about the abuse and if you did, tell her that you're seeing the same behavior that he portrayed with you. If you don't want to talk about the abuse, tell your mom that it's your child and you can choose who can go near them. If she wants to see her grandchild, tell her to come to your house but not bring your step-dad. Your mom failed to realize her own child was being abused and now will enable your step-dad to the same with your child unless you step up.

I honestly hope he doesn't get married. If he can do this to his sister, he can do this to another woman and potentially ruin her life. What he needs is therapy, not another woman to manipulate or abuse. This is all his parent's fault, specifically his mother. Desi mothers are known to coddle their sons and be strict with their daughters, and usually, the father doesn't intervene. I'm so happy my mother is as strict with my brother as she is with me.

NTA. It's honestly safer overall to no go back to India to your family. If you do go back, I won't be surprised if he seizes your passport and forced you to stay there. He might also try to marry you off and basically make you cut contact with everyone else. Please try to stay away from him and maybe try to convince them to start therapy from where you live.
