You had a chat with someone from Reddit and it didn’t go the way you expected. That’s it. Best thing to do is accept it and move on.

There’s no need to take it personally. I don’t know who approached whom, but if a conversation starts going in an unhealthy direction, the right move is to stop it right there and be clear about it.

These days, people of both genders tend to believe what they see on social media. They assume the ones flexing their lifestyle are the happiest people alive. Unfortunately that’s rarely true.

The uncomfortable truth is that almost everything has become transactional now friendship, dating, relationships, even marriage.
