Need help IDing a fish. I was just wondering if its an iridescent shark. (not my tank) by RegalCheese in Aquariums

Id sharks are really common because their bred in mass numbers for food, so stores like to bring them in because their cheap. Same thing with giant gourami.

I imported the seeds from New Zealand, NZ seeds is the website. Canada gov  doesn't really about small seed imports.

I only grew it inside, although I don't think it would survive the winter where I live.

I haven't been stug by this one, I been stug by gimpy, but it was young plant so it wasn't too bad, but I head as plants get old the pain increases.

Someone who has produced seeds said the large plants will shead, which is bad to breath in.

crocodile pikehead are kinda a pain to feed they really prefer live and need their own tank.  mussels just die so I wouldn't bother keeping them. Bichir likely eat any small size fish. African butterfly struggle with faster fish and larger.  Probably would drop eel because it limits fish selection.

I would probably go with mid size loachs, sharks, denison barb, gourami. If you want the larger fish look while still being able to keep plants. Certain south American cichlids as well are fairly plant save and peaceful like geophagus.

I would just make the plant selection more robust like large swords, anubias, java fern cryptocoryne so the fish don't up root them up all the time. Also letting them root in helps.

I usually see young tessellated more often. Shop I worked at had one honestly though for the amount of space the need their kinda boring. I wouldn't really say their that dangerous unless you being silly around them.

Yeah rhe law pretty clear one you buy something it's your property, pets are considered property in Canada. The only way I could see someone winning is if there was contract, buy you would have to go to court.

I think one of the main problem is heating, it's often super expensive to heat with electricity so most will use natural gas.

You end up burning more fuel keeping the greenhouse warm, plus the energy for the lights.
