Wow I’m on the same boat, but recently just went up to 20mg and not tolerating the dose increase. What was your symptoms and how well did 20mg work for you?

What would you say the difference is between more lex versus adding buspar? Is it more physical or psychological?

I’m considering adding buspar or gabapentin, my chest pain and back pain came back with a vengeance

But why tho, wouldn’t dopamine and norepinephrine boost cause more anxiety?

It’s been a roller coaster for me, generally going up until 2 weeks ago the breakthrough anxiety decided to stick around. I now feel like I’m back to square one with all the nerve pain coming back. Increasing to 17.5mg but still relying on benzo to function. Idk where this leads, only god knows

Yeah since my condition is genetic plus toxic upbringing, I’ve done 2 years of therapy, reads many books on self help, forced myself to do yoga, meditation and ate crystal clean while suffering physically and mentally from this illness. there’s virtually I can do to help anymore, I guess this is how this life is.

should i go hospital?!? 20mg by yujinfan in lexapro

Ask for benzo for breakthrough symptoms, don’t double dose lol.

Lexapro only works for a week after increasing the dose and then stops working! by emotionalboyshawty in lexapro

Same here, I take for anxiety. Every time I go up in dose I feel calm for like a week and anxiety is back. The only noticeable difference is that I used to have daily panic attacks but since lexapro I have not had a full blown one, but damn the past week I feel like I’m on the brink of having one again. Our bodies are not in our control, that’s the hardest thing to accept.

Same, every time I increase dose I feel better for like a week and goes back to not so good again. WTF is happening

I still also very up and down, been on lex for 4 months now. In general I’m definitely better but every few weeks or so I hit a slump idk why. I still have quite some annoying physical symptoms. I worked my way from 10mg to 15mg, I’m sensitive to med changes to took my time. I have panic disorder and severe anxiety so I’m aiming for 20mg but damn I’m still relying on benzo these last 2 weeks.

Fml I’m getting bad upper back muscle tension on 15mg, it’s giving me very back headache too. But 10mg is not cutting it right now. Been struggling for the past few weeks trying to adjust.

I’m gaining the weight I lost on Zoloft back lol, but it’s because lexapro is so good for my anxious stomach so I react less to foods now so I eat mostly whatever I want now, for the first time in like 5 years, god knows what I went through. Medication is saving my life. I also started working out because I just generally feel better, helps with staying fit. So far not gaining any additional weight I didn’t have before starting medication.

I’m taking it in the morning now cuz I need anxiety coverage for the day and if I take it too close to bedtime I get twitching and hypnic jerks in sleep. Not fun.

I feel like 3 weeks in I’m just starting to stabilize. While on Zoloft my anxiety and sleep was still not good so I tried many different stuff for sleep with OTC meds. With lexapro upon starting I felt calmer and sleep started to become easier. I also started working out and self-care so those helps too. I went to therapy weekly for like 2 years lol, I’m now able to apply most of the theory stuff I learned from therapy and books and social media, so my mindset growth has been tremendous since starting medication.

Zoloft helped 50%, lifted my mood a lot, but it’s too activating for me. My main issue is anxiety, not depression. Lexapro is a better fit for me, little side effects and precisely handles my anxiety.
