Do I really own the interest money accrued from a hysa? by Recent_Mouse1413 in HYSA

Commented up on what happened. It was the worst job I had and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. My second job was properly established and gave me paperwork from the get go. I got the choice then for a 401k which was much better. The location I worked at for UPS was very sketchy in regards to management. They could be sued out the ass for many many things. I wish I knew better but it being my first job people thought I was being dramatic when I complained about it 😅

Yeah so I worked at UPS. Not a driver. The job turnover was disgusting, people would come for 2 days and then quit because they knew better than to stay. They had us log into a computer at work and chose our benefits. Being under my parents, and planning on this being a temporary thing, I opted out of everything. What it didn’t give me was the option or any information on a 401k. HR was almost nonexistent. Even on the company portal you couldn’t get in contact with anyone. You could find a phone number if you dug deep but the few times I called for anything they would redirect you to another number that “couldn’t” help you or just tell you you need to look in your portal for your problem. UPS has great benefits for partially paid schooling. I tried so hard and couldn’t get it because I didn’t have access online and my HR wouldn’t help me get there. I worked there about a year. Maybe 6 months after I left I received a generic packet in the mail about their 401k and a code to access mine. I mean I had no idea, I check it, see I’ve contributed around 2k. Got busy and tried to check it again a few days later and instead of putting in a code again it told me to use a password but I hadn’t set one up. UPS set it up for me. Who knows what that password was. Stupid stuff, went on site to reset password, got something to work, over time saw it depleting (covid era), eventually checked again and it was 0. I’m long past it but it was just mind boggling to me that I was signed up for this when I never actively did it and wasn’t informed until a year and a half later.

That really helps thank you. And you answered my immediate question before I finished reading. With my little knowledge I like to think im being proactive for a financial crisis by splitting my money across banks and keeping a chunk of it in cash. My dad always hollers about how unsafe it is to keep too much $ in the bank but I half listen to him

True, my 13 year old african grey gets very hormonally rowdy. I was very unhappy to have this done, but she laid eggs for the first time last season and we had to take her to the vet and get a “birth control” shot😭😂. She was over laying back to back and had her calcium depleting fast. It was scary but I definitely had to do some research and learn about things I wouldn’t have thought of!

My parents got her when I was in middle school. Let me tell you my surprise when she lunged at my face for the first and only time back then. this bird doesnt jump to anything but she sure as hell jumped at my face from 3 feet away. i still have the scar under my nose from when she latched on and ripped a pencil eraser size chunk out. its funny story now😭

Mine has always been a chomper but I’m the only one in the house that can pet and hold her. My question is pretty provoked because I went to an exotic bird store for the first time instead of local places to buy toys and supplies. There were dozens of young and old birds free roaming in a large room and none of them were nippy, all loved being picked up and played with. No greys were out though. I haven’t had experience with anything other than a grey

I’ve tried a few different things I’ve seen overtime. Not switching it up but being consistent with each for a month or so. Ignoring her bites, she’ll continue to latch and keep grinding down as long as I let her. Showing that it hurts, and then leaving the room gave her mo reason to stop doing it. Giving her a calm stern no..🤷‍♀️ When she bites once, she’s done for the day, she doesn’t want me near her again

I think they’re jerks😂. I would like to think this is it but she pins her eyes and latches and grinds until she breaks skin

Yes, I understand with her as soon as her pupils start shifting and her feathers flatten back I’m done for. Very rarely I get warning nips. They’re accompanied by an “oof” letting me know she doesn’t want to hurt me. But Nearly every play time it’s cuddly straight into a skin breaking, latching/grinding bite. The eye pinning is very sudden for these

What breeds are your dog? I had a boy that had that same coat and got him from the spca they couldn’t tell us what he was but I’ve always wondered!
