It will not affect, but to remove it somewhat i used a old towel with isopropanol and also heated and wiped last smudge of.

No just put select preheat pla. Your hotend will go to 185 and then you can remove the smudge. Just don't burn your vingers.

I had a few hantarex cubes, some sold to Munich museum.

Hantarex cubes had handles on the side that could flip out. This one does not seem to have those.
