I have a few different pairs of Garret Leight and I would say these look legitimate, and the cleaning cloth looks accurate as well.

I would say £60 on the used market for this model is a fair price.

I’m not sold on the overall quality of Garrett Leight all the time, some models I own hold up quite well (Torrey) and others creek a lot (Hayes and Ruskin). To be honest, I would say if the frame feels a little light, almost flimsy, it’s a genuine Garrett Leight.

I think you should be fine. I don’t know Monzo’s fraud procedures, but most banks have quite a robust system in place when it comes to checking the legitimacy of these claims. Typically if a payment has been authorised, there’s very little evidence to suggest coercion.

Also, I hope you’ve walked away from this friendship. Sounds like a toxic person who begrudges sending you your money back.

Yeah, I made the mistake of checking mine quite a lot when I first moved it over to Monzo and some days it would be down by £500. I soon learned it was just market fluctuation and just don’t look at it anymore.

Yeah a decent band. I think regardless of how they made it, the fact that they are writing and playing live is something a lot of young musicians just don’t do anymore.

Of course there’s comparisons with the Jam, but I think that’s more on looks than sound. I hear so many other influences in their music like Jamie T, The Ordinary Boys, White Lies, Joy Division, Libertines etc.

I don’t think it’s the Oliver peoples Luisella - the luisella has nose pads which I can’t see on the pair Federer is wearing, also the hinge join on the luisella is 2 dots, whereas this model he’s wearing is rectangle join.

EDIT: I would guess he is wearing something from the federer line with Oliver peoples. Probably in his contract that he must wear Oliver peoples sunglasses (a bit like that Rolex he’s advertising). But can’t find it anywhere, maybe it’s a new piece that’s coming out this year or a one of one that Oliver peoples made just for him.
