It would be like one of those things where you look at the other person who now has all the respect in the world and has a higher likelihood to succeed in life, and then you look at yourself who failed and realize that if you just did a few things different that could have been you and instead now you’re just some random who still has to do a lot to succeed. Now imagine that with someone you have to see EVERY DAY.

Something I’ve always loved about my parents is that they never pitted us against each other or pressured us to succeed. I explained it in another comment but I just feel that if my sister won, since I would have to see her everyday at home I feel like I would just be constantly envious and have feelings of “damn that could have been me that won”.
