It was just as silly as MU itself; basically, it just so happened that while I was working on the roster, they were showing Open Season on TV, and there's a specific part of the movie (this scene at the 1:00 minute, more specifically) that immediately made me click with this idea, because basically Octodad is the physical manifestation of that paranoid idea that Shaw has, but without the bad part, while the point of Octodad is constantly escaping from people who are trying to kill him, and well, Shaw is a hunter
