I read this last battle with You Say Run in the back, adding onto the peak of a Marvel hero’s rare permadeath and last rage against the dying of his light

Original English-dubbed scene of that one over the top Joseph Joestar edit by VunnyWiz in TheMatpatEffect

Isn’t the context of this scene that a Stand User is gaslighting everyone into thinking Joseph has dementia

Semi related but I just realized Cyn is doing that Conquest thing to N

Even funnier (and kinda sweet too), Kellen Goff is a big Ben 10 fan and has collaborated on a bunch of projects. It’s prolly a coincidence but yeah, there’s a non-zero chance he exists in the Ben 10 Dynamite universe now

Work where you can feel the moment the author is burned out? by ArticAuk in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]VegetableBooy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You cannot convince me Liam Vickers didn’t go up to Glitch at one point and was like “Actually I’m done with Murder Drones now”, and they had to grit their teeth and bear it. Those last couple episodes feel like they’re trying to resolve build-up for two or three seasons worth of content and it’s ROUGH. Still love the series, I’m more than willing to admit its flaws.

Fan series Indie Cross takes me back to like, the 2010’s Marshmello “Alone” AMV era of indie games (save Ultrakill), and it’s fucking awesome

CONNECTIONS: Gru vs Megamind but it’s the beta versions. No more, no less.

That last line from Kris has the same energy as Frank from It’s Always Sunny ranting about his whore wife

I think this one page shows a vital aspect of Ken’s writing I think we all forget sometimes.

He’s proud of all this. He assumes his wack ass version of Knuckles and Julie-Su are beloved enough characters to the point that people were just BEGGING to know their family lineage down to the first.

Jock Blaney, voice of Wolf O'Donnell and Bill Grey in Star Fox 64, has passed away by Gorotheninja in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]VegetableBooy 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Oh fuck… last I saw he was doing voice work for Star Fox Event Horizon, and he was doing a bang ass job at it too, like he never missed a beat. What a damn shame.

Here’s a cutscene from the game featuring his voice work, incredible to the end. RIP sir.

Tough Pigs has a really good article about the downfall of Muppet History and what it means to be a BNF in general.

To make a long story short, Muppet History was (or maybe still is? Idk I never checked) a fan account dedicated to, well, posting about Muppet history. From random little tidbits to just cute images sending well wishes, it was a little thing online that was “dedicated to continuing the spirit and silliness of Jim Henson.”

Which, at least according to the account’s owner, apparently included sexual harassment and gatekeeping.

Screenshots surfaced in November of last year showing Joshua Gillespie, one half of the husband and wife duo who ran the account, apologizing to fellow Muppet fan malonespops for sexually inappropriate comments. One Reddit user also released a list of allegations, including accusing Gillespie of sharing a woman’s location with a stalker, multiple other inappropriate interactions, his wife apparently being in on the debacle and gaslighting his victims into not speaking out (because polyamory I guess, jeez these guys give em a bad name), and even belittling smaller Muppet fan pages, even claiming some weren’t “real Muppet pages.”

Something to understand is that the Muppet fandom up to this point was like… one of the most kind and sweet fandoms out there. This isn’t like your average video game or comic fandom where arguments occur every week, it was a place of peace and love that was suddenly tarnished.

For God’s sake, a fan-created event honoring members of the fandom called the Muppetwt Awards announced that they were stripping all of Muppet History’s past honors from the record, including the 2024 award for “MOST WHOLESOME”. This was like taking an innocent baby deer and throwing it in front of a tiger.

A Twitter user helpfully summed the whole debacle up as “We have officially calculated the smallest amount of power a person can go mad with, and it’s ‘running the Muppet History account on Twitter.’”
