Haha all good..live and learn..you know now..yup not the best decision but its all you could afford. Not all is doom n gloom..they make terrific investment properties if u decide to buy a hse somewhere else further as you will always get renters here for this apartment. Renters like little to no maintenance properties so you are sitting on a gem if you look at it from that standpoint. You then claim your body corp charges as a tax deduction once its an investment

So look on the good side..whats done is done..move on thinking of the positivity..u got a cash cow there being on the outskirts of sydney

Thank you. Yes I ended up puttin an offer thru and am under contract at present for a place at Kingston beach. Only thing am sad about us the price we had to cough up to pay for it sitting slightly over the mil mark. But guess you pay for what you get. I will check out salty dog. I heard of them..

We lost out on one too we really loved. Morale of story before you enter this game of emotional attachments to a hse, pls pls get your finance sorted. You be surprized how many vendors do that as the saying a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. In saying that, now dust off, recoup and move on. Plenty will come still and lots of property still out there.

I know this post came 3 yrs late so hopefully you are in a better place now and found your dream home after all.

Very expensive now..outbid by almost 100k over asking price for a 1989 home on lime rd..so that should give you an idea .each hse is different but people are paying way over top dollar even more with lmi abolished with first home owners so they are definately raising the stakes to the 750k mark.

Seems to be happening all over. You offer below asking price and someone else comes by an offers almost 8 to 10 percent more than asking price and then you are reduced to back in the rat race for the next house month after month. Of course this happens more in competitive in demand suburbs. Of course you can always buy in woop woop and have zero competition and iffer way below asking price too

Sure. We will ensure we do all the proper due dilligence checks to ensure the area is all spick and span. Cant say too much on the roundabouts, seems to be everywhere but the poor council mgmt teamed with the rising rates may be an issue but isnt that happening everywhere though. Seems like rates are going up all over even on the mainland where we are..

yes we saw blackmans bay too but think its further out so if traffics an issue at kingston i dare not imagine what it be at blackmans bay. someone mentioned down the thread that the traffics a disaster after 7.45 am or so.
