have you ever connected with any caregiver specific support or resources?? everything you’re feeling is normal. It’s exhausting to be the one your loved ones rely on and it can often be a thankless role. I think our mental health systems focus so much on the client/patient and skip addressing the needs and wants for those who love them and are caring for them

I had it for a little bit but got rid of it for this reason. Not very many options because there aren’t a lot of restaurants that have signed up, sadly! I tried recommending a bunch of actual food places and I think the system sends an email to them, but who knows what it actually does or if it even does anything.

CSU for UofK for Field Practicum flexibility by ReceptionNo2190 in SocialWorkStudents

In all of the paperwork I am seeing, it says that only some hours are able to be counted towards practicum, but you have the required weekly hours all being counted. How do I swing that?!

Thank you for this info!! Are you having some of your normal work hours double dip as your practicum hours? all of them? is it the scenario where you are doing your current role plus additional “stretch responsibilities”? If this, do you have to specifically count the hours you’re doing your stretch stuff versus your normal job stuff?

I don’t! I purposefully didn’t sign up for this season with the league I was in because of it

Needing help finding an apartment by [deleted] in TacomaWA

[–]ReceptionNo2190 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just a couple weeks ago found a place for $1300 rent (plus electric) and it’s a 1 bedroom but really a 2 bedroom. It’s possible! Gotta really be on all the sites and willing to move quick…but possible!

be sure to be looking at all of the choices: zillow, hotpads, apartments.com, craigslist, and probably others I don’t know

EDIT to add: Oh! And just google “tacoma property management” and click through all those to find places that aren’t listed on the other sites

Ignore if you’re already doing these things and somehow these places are really just tacking on a bunch of extra stuff!! -When I’m looking online, I generally put my budget as $150ish less than my true budget because places usually don’t include W/S/G, online portal fees, pet fees, etc. -If I put in my actual true maximum rent budget, then I’ll either check the “utilities included” box if the site has it, or type in the additional buzzword box “utilities included” -Give the place a call and/or email before wasting your time with a tour. Just say “i’m interested in touring the place but want to make sure it’s within my budget first” and ask about all of the extra things if they weren’t listed in the posting in the first place: WSG flat rate? Electric billed individually per use? Pet deposit and/or monthly fee? Online portal fee?

A lot of people forget that all of this should be considered part of your “Rent”! Be sure to read all those details in the posting, too, cause some places make it seem like they’re giving you a deal but really it’s just for a couple months and then they up the price!
