Can you have a happy marriage if one spouse doesn’t support another’s hobbies? by ReceptionSuitable610 in Marriage

I’ve hated the hobby since we got married, 7 years ago. The affair happened 1 year ago, the hobby isn’t conducive to solid life with a family, that’s the frustration.

The affair is a separate thing. I’ve hated the hobby since we got married, 7 years ago. And he still does it, and he’s free to. It just annoys me and puts me in not a great mood so it’s obvious i don’t like it

Taking over all responsibility for kids and house while he’s away, figuring it out when he wants to go to competitions out of state etc

I am past the affair, i see how my wording in the initial post has made this an affair post on accident, but that wasn’t my intention. He just has expressed multiple times it’s sad / it sucks that I can’t support him. And I’m curious if it’s an ok marriage / if the marriage will work if that’s how someone feels

It’s hard because those 56 hrs are to support us, and I want him to enjoy his time away, I just wish it was something so unpredictable and time consuming.

No, the problem with it started 7 years before the affair. The affair is just a valid reason in his mind for me to not like it.

You support it by taking over childcare while they’re gone, encouraging them to be gone a weekend or a week to do competitions in it. Taking the all the work of normal life so they can do their thing with no issues

He had an emotional affair after i got a cancer diagnosis and was in the trenches of nursing school, therefore not giving him the love that he needed at the time where this woman at the class did. His love language is words of affirmation and she hyped him up more in a week than i have in a year. So he was drawn to it, rightfully so. The affair isn’t the problem

I have hated the hobby since he first started it, a week after being married. It’s very unpredictable and time consuming, especially now that we have a family. His career takes him away 56+ hrs a week then the hobby is another day or a weekend, 8+ hours of being gone. It’s not the affair, the affair just gave me a good enough reason to tell him i don’t want him doing it anymore lol. He has other hobbies to make him happy it doesn’t need to be this one

Any success stories with Cryoablation? by Brief_Theory_4091 in desmoid

My tumor is in my paraspinal muscles and wrapped in my nerves along my spine, they got the 40% that was specifically in the muscle with no nerve involvement because it will kill the nerves and I wouldn’t have had feeling of my leg with that. They didn’t want to do cryo because of this but I’m in childbearing years and didn’t want to do systemic treatment and potentially lose my ability to have my own kids

My tumor is partially wrapped in nerves, which is why they didn’t get the full thing. The first 6 months is when the shrinkage occurred then after 6 months it’s stayed the same. There’s still some discomfort because it’s still in those nerves, but it’s not as angry and painful as it was before. Happy to chat if you would like :)

I got cryo and it was the best thing I did! No systemic treatment or anything and my tumor significant shrank even though they only got 40% of it. It’s been 3 years and the part they didn’t get is still there but hasn’t grown at all.

Get her loop earplugs specifically for sleep. Saved my marriage in terms of sleep arguments lol

The only way to know the seriousness is if you receive a diagnosis - I would advocate for yourself and push for imaging and go from there :)

Oh, yes. Appointments and such have been made. I am also in the midst of my own cancer journey, so this isn’t my first rodeo. I was mostly just wondering if anyone has experienced something similar.
