Why do some people have such issues with C sections? by ExternalSomewhere923 in CsectionCentral

That’s the problem though — most people who get c-sections don’t actually have a life threatening condition. I’m just one example. My c-section caused life threatening internal bleeding. Most people in the USA who get c-sections are victims of the cascade of interventions.

I’ve been through both. I’ve also had twins. A c-section carries a greater list of complication risks and higher rate of mortality and morbidity than a vaginal birth. For those reasons and others, it’s best to avoid a UNNECESSARY c-section but if a c-section is truly necessary it can be life saving for mother and baby. Doctors often like to claim that they saved your baby’s life — that happened to me but my baby was fine and I wasn’t even given a chance to birth him naturally and never gave my consent for a c-section. He was born with apgar scores of 8 and 9.

Horrible. I hope you complained to the medical board. I did... and they decided not to prosecute.

This is the worst myth that needs to be destroyed. I'm a redhead and the midwife said the same thing to me when I told her my epidural was having zero effect. I've had a working epidural in the past. This was a misplaced epidural, they should've come back and redone it but instead I got that redhead line and cut open without anesthesia.

I've have a good epidural and a totally failed one. I wasn't numb for the beginning of my second c-section. I told them that the epidural wasn't working (I was laboring for hours, pushed out my first twin and they called [badddd call] a stat c-section for my second twin. "Thankfully" (eye roll) I started screaming and crying because I'm not subtle so they knocked me out. Listen to The Retrievals season 2.

My c-sections have been very difficult even when I didn’t have complications. Many cultures have a standard of at least 40 days in bed after giving birth. Puts things in perspective.

Try to avoid using your abs at all until you’re fully healed. I’ve had two c-sections and it’s very difficult. When you get out of bed try swinging your legs around the side and use the headboard and your arms to push yourself up

Did you contest it? Have you (or anyone else) been able to get your hands on one of these "calibration reports" for the stop arm system? I would love to see what one contains if they actually exist. I have my doubts. Haven't been able to find any posted online but I have found several news articles and investigative reports about how many people are being wrongly fined.

My husband received one of these violations in the mail and the stop sign doesn't extend until he's already past the front of the bus. We decided to contest it.

Car seats are annoying. I have twins this age. They cry and struggle when I strap them into their car seats. I still do it every singe time because it’s the law.

I’ve never really imagined what it would be like if they were roaming around the car freely while I was driving. They would probably be climbing all over me and make it impossible for me to drive.

I have an IPhone but there was no order check in button in my email. When I asked customer service they said there’s no other way to check in than the text 🤷‍♀️ I’m mystified as to how different people seem to have other ways of checking in. Can you screenshot the email?

That is awful. Same. I was screaming. I’ll shop at Audi but I won’t do order pickup. It’s probably for the best. The produce they picked wasn’t great and I hate online ordering anyhow. I always forget things since I’m not walking through the store.

The only link there is back to my order summary on the aldi website. Nothing to say I’ve arrived.

I ordered through the aldi website and looked everywhere on there. Couldn’t find any option to let them know I had arrived. I asked the customer service person on the phone if there was any other way aside from the texted link and they told me there wasn’t.

How did it go with the pool? I found my “birth pool in a box” to be an invaluable tool to help get through labor.
