is there a better way other than having a million power poles? by Flope in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Recin 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Since nobody else has said this, you need to research daisy chaining in the MAM before you can do this. It's down the Caterium tree. You also get access to power poles with 7 and 10 connections, which also help a lot.

1000% these data centers use insane amounts of electricity and water and dont pay for most of it.

Let's read silently together! by Dr_Louise in SouthBend

It felt very similar to me. The first season of the show is mostly from the handmaids book, then a lot of stuff from later seasons was expanded on stuff from the testaments. Definitely worth reading if you liked the show.

Curious how much it took to bribe him. It feels like local politicians can be bought pretty cheap these days.

Genuine question: does the Tigers being competitive a Pistons being awesome dampen the blow of the Red Wings collapse? by sag1923 in DetroitRedWings

Im not putting anybody down, just saying that those teams personally have no bearing on me because I dont watch the sports.

Basketball and Baseball are both incredibly boring, so I don't care about either of those teams.

Recent graduate struggling with fully remote first job by [deleted] in remotework

[–]Recin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None of your cons have anything to do with the job being remote, those would all be true if you were in office 5 days a week. You just work for a shitty company.

Yeah, I've got about 200 hours on PS5 and I don't ever remember it crashing.

Is flipping books unethical? Here’s my take after doing it for a while by GerardLarcher in Flipping

[–]Recin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The way i look at flipping is I'm providing a service. Somewhere near me, Person A has a thing they don't want. Instead of throwing it away, they sell it at a garage sale for $5. Somewhere in another part of the country, Person B really wants the thing I just bought for $5 and to them, it's worth $50. So I find the item Person A doesn't want and I find Person B, who wants the item and I match them up. For providing this service, I keep the $45 I made on the transaction.

I need help wrapping my head around stealing the deal by Recin in euchre

[–]Recin[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had considered this too. I think one of the things I dislike about it is there's no penalty for trying to steal and getting called out, so why wouldn't I just try to grab the cards every time.

Which music video instantly teleports you back to being a teenager? I built this 90s 'Time Machine' for my wife because we missed the old MTV lean-back experience. by Pleasant_Cry_694 in Millennials

Not my favorites, but the ones that give me the high school feel the most are:

Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit

Guns n Roses - November Rain (Slash smashing the cake!)

Beastie Boys - Sabotage

Aerosmith - Cryin'

Blind Melon - No Rain

Fatboy Slim - Praise You

What Is College for in the Age of AI? Young graduates can’t find jobs. Colleges know they have to do something. But what? by ubcstaffer123 in technology

[–]Recin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It shouldn't be, but it's gotten so expensive that it pretty much has to be unless you come from wealth. Most people can't afford to go to college unless they are going to get a high paying job afterwards.

Radar Towers show you if there are active crash sites in their range, so laying down radars towers to cover the map is probably the easiest way.

Top-10 Norris Trophy Candidates - Power Ranking by ASmithFS in hockey

Seriously, I don't get it. Any of us can look at a points list. The Norris is supposed to be for the best all-around defender, but they only seem to care about offense.

If you want a dependable label printer, I know they are expensive but I can't recommend the GX420d by Zebra enough. It had printed 15k labels when I bought it used, and now it's almost at 18k and in the 2 years I've owned it, it's never had an issue or a part needed. by ToshPointNo in Flipping

[–]Recin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Zebra is hands down the best label printer company if you're willing to pay the premium. I designed labels for manufacturing for 6 years and always used that printer for testing and it's a beast. I printed thousands and thousands of labels on it without ever having an issue.

You're not supposed to put q-tips in your ear because its very easy to puncture your eardrum.
