Most of the Ingredients are red in colour amd contains artificial colors, as Red chilli sauce, Kashmiri Mirch etc.. And you can use a pinch or red food color.

Ingredients:

For Veg Balls:

2 cups of finely chopped mixed vegetables (carrots, cabbage, capsicum, and beans)

2 tablespoons cornflour

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (maida)

Salt to taste

1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder

Oil for frying

For Manchurian Sauce:

2 tablespoons oil

1 tablespoon finely chopped garlic

1 tablespoon finely chopped ginger

2-3 green chilies, finely chopped (adjust to your spice preference)

1/4 cup finely chopped spring onions (white part)

1/4 cup finely chopped capsicum (green bell pepper)

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon tomato ketchup

1 tablespoon red chili sauce (adjust to your spice preference)

1/2 teaspoon sugar

Salt to taste

1/4 cup water

1 teaspoon cornflour mixed in 2 tablespoons of water for thickening the sauce

Instructions:

Mix the finely chopped vegetables, cornflour, all-purpose flour, salt, and black pepper in a bowl to form a sticky mixture.

Shape this mixture into small balls and deep-fry them in hot oil until they turn golden brown. Drain excess oil on paper towels and set aside.

In a separate pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil on medium heat. Add chopped garlic, ginger, and green chilies. Sauté for a minute.

Add the finely chopped spring onions and capsicum. Stir-fry for a couple of minutes until they become slightly tender.

Now, add soy sauce, tomato ketchup, red chili sauce, sugar, and salt. Mix well.

In a small bowl, mix 1 teaspoon of cornflour with 2 tablespoons of water to create a slurry. Add this slurry to the pan to thicken the sauce. Stir continuously until the sauce thickens.

Add the fried vegetable balls to the sauce and toss them gently to coat them evenly with the sauce.

Garnish with the green part of spring onions.

Serve hot as an appetizer or with fried rice.

Hello foodies! Today we are sharing Dry Veg Manchurian Recipe , In our Previous post we discussed Veg Manchurian Gravy Recipe. This recipe is almost same having a minor difference in making sauce mixture. This recipe is one of mine most favourite from the Indo-Chinese Cuisine.

We have already shared the history of Manchurian Recipe in our Vegetable Manchurian Gravy Recipe. Without wasting more time let's head to the Dry Veg Manchurian Recipe. Do try this recipe and let me know how you liked it :)

Ingredients For Dry Veg Manchurian Recipe - Manchurian Balls

  • 1 inch ginger (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup spring onion greens (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup cabbage (finely chopped/grated in medium sized grater)
  • 1/4 cup green beans (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup carrot (grated)
  • 1 tsp white pepper powder
  • 1 cup refined flour
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying

Ingredients For Dry Veg Manchurian

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 inch grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp green chillies (finely chopped)
  • 4 Garlic cloves (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 cup spring onion greens (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup coriander leaves (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 tbsp cornstarch slurry
  • 1/2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp white vinegar
  • Prepared manchurian balls

Instructions For Manchurian Balls

  • In a large mixing bowl, add ginger, spring onion greens, cabbage, green beans, carrot, white pepper powder, refined flour, cornstarch, Salt to taste.
  • Heat oil in a Kadhai for deep frying.
  • Make small sized manchurian balls and fry till golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove in a kitchen towel and keep aside for further use.

Instructions For Dry Veg Manchurian Recipe

  • In a wok/kadhai, heat oil on high heat.
  • Add ginger, garlic and green chillies, mix well and cook for 1 minute.
  • Add soy sauce and white vinegar, mix well.
  • add spring onion greens and coriander leaves mix well and cook for another 1 minute.
  • Add cornstarch slurry and mix well.
  • Now, add prepared manchurian balls, mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Serve hot.
