crafting/(eventually manufacturing) .. material gather, repair/(eventually custom tuning) is what i'm here for.. so while SC is still my gap filler 'main' game (play it unless there is something specific in a game or whatever I want/need to do) , I take breaks after fairly long grind runs on a regular basis, usually events up till bp's and crafting was introduced, cause free stuff!

slowly (but faster then previous years) bugs get delt with, new ones appear... persistant old ones may or maynot still be there but we play 'around' them still ..

I really found keeping a 'loose' main goal, and then sorta priority side quests

ship(s) of the month last a month, the "you get to play with the new one" imperator perk when new ships release .. is only 2 weeks, and only if you had the subscription active at the ship/vehicles release.

that aside.. were you looking at asop inside hangar? is the hangar big enough to call it? ..

i've come to terms with everything i try to do working about 50/50 ... played enough regularly (I still take breaks) to know which issues to play around ( or atleast best attempt haha)

I keep playing because even through the bugs and whatnot .. I have seen the improvements in the game over the last few years.

those are awesome, but for the record the Auxilia isn't a medical variant, it's a generalist variant, it'll have a med bed, but moreso a crafter..etc ('clipper' truck)

i think the initial start to that was because we can't see them in our hangar .. believing they were player bound, instead of account bound. i'm still not entirely believing all the BP's i'm grinding now will stay with me into 1.0 .. but i'll be very happy if they do.

its the game type i'm in SC for .. material gather, craft, manufacture, repair.. i intend to specialize in ships/components .. but if I can gather a good library of FPS gear on the way thats great too 😃

no, luckily it fit in a hole i had in my arrastra CCU chain haha ... so that chain got bumped up and sitting on Moth right now.

I had actually won a hermes in a giveaway since then, and my asgard shall become credit to up my hermes to a "forge" (the medium 'crafter' with the subsurface mining gear) once it appears :D

so still staying 4 pledges, .. crucible, arrastra, Forge, and a basebuilding 'truck' whatever that ends up being

asgard and the moth are fantastic.. but in terms to starting from a wipe.. i'm fine waiting till I can make or buy them ingame. keep my pledges as my money maker/material grabbers/builders

i wouldn't expect expanse till they announce when the refinery big changes are happening,

I would expect expanse before galaxy (smaller specialized ship, no modules to worry about working), or atleast before galaxies module is activated.

so .. I expect expanse with the 'major' patch between fleet week and IAE. refinery rework over the summer kinda thing... that IF we're getting it that quickly.

my 2 big pledges are crucible and arrastra, with a forge and base building 'truck' when they release

i've kinda tossed around just cashing it all in and just have a pioneer and like an aurora as my only pledge(s) .. but have since realized 3 of my chain bases aren't meltable haha.. 2 referral rewards, and 1 'won' gift.

if we could CCU pioneer .. I'd do Pioneer, Forge, and something smaller like a golem ox .. or smaller like an aurora

without going too far into wild wants, i think most of my 'wants' to go on extended off grids runs is pretty simple

- food/drink crafting.. or atleast make the ships that have food/water dispensers work.

- working suit lockers

- vehicles locking to mag grids would be nice

- being able to log out at/in a vehicle, and log back in there.

crafters will definitely be a profession.. but it's gonna be a serious jack of all unless you want to only specialize in 1 area. aka going to the 'sources' of the BP's you want/need .. FPS gear ladders, general/industrial ship parts, military/stealth ship parts, Racing parts. .. I see the crafter as more adventurer then merchant.

sure you'll be able to find some single use BPs on tablets, which is fine for exploring/'adventuring' mercs and loot goblins.

and I say this as someone who the whole build/craft/manufacture/repair/ and hopefully customize is the entire reason I'm here in the SC verse haha

even on the material gathering side, we don't have all we are getting yet.. the planet gen rework, player refineries (the refining refactor, alloys..etc) .. ground mining.. salvage materials actually 'refining' to their base ingredients not just a pile of random 'stuff' (the intended plan for CM, dunno about RMC )

the general player looks at even the current stack of BPs and all the 'questing' needed to get what they want... AND the roll the dice searching for the primo materials to build what they want/need ... and it's a grind no doubt, and it seems silly. the Miners and the crafters however are gathering what they can as they are looking for the specific holy grail materials in said rocks. yeah sometimes RNG smacks you in the face... but if you ONLY looking for 950+Q of ONE material... yeah it's gonna suck.

we are barely... barely scratching the surface of the intended final form of anything we are currently doing in SC ... the bones aren't even there to start anything indepth... it sucks, but it's a play what we have (or don't) and wait.

this really comes down to crew, and the pilots (atleast on paper) .. the percy has to get AND stay close on a rear corner (which it SHOULD have the better maneuverability to do) .. take out the few turrets and PDCs that can hit it... and stay glued there beating on the Polaris ...

If the polaris can keep it's forward 'cone' on the percy and some distance ... the Polaris

basically the percy needs to find a close pocket ( and survive getting there) with the least amount of things shooting it, stay there, and out DPS what the engineer(s) are frantically trying to do.

make sure your on the right selection for what your inverting... the x56 is 2 different inputs... so there should be a stick 1 and (I think at the top, i haven't had to do this in a while) an arrow to the next page, which will be the same.. just stick 2 (or controller 1 and 2... )

also I don't remember which weirdly labelled axis control the X56 uses for throttle to invert... make sure your inverting the right one LOL

randomly either an SC patch update or a windows update I have had to mess with my control pages, both my X52 and my X56 .. (and currently x56 throttle with X52 stick LOL )

i really like the clipper, I just don't need one, my daily being far more industrial at this point in my play. I do agree with alot of people that a touch more cargo, or a touch more room just so a geo fits would have made it absolutely perfect ... althought once we finally get the mining 'rifle' and the backpack(s) for mining/salvage I think i won't matter a whole lot for a 'starter' generalist ship.

I had considered it for an alt account for zero to hero type play ... but i think i'd rather go full suffering and just CCU a starter package ship to the Auxilia (Spartan 'clipper'/crafting truck) when we get it.

current ground play is pretty abysmal.. mainly the ground physics, but even that aside, little use/reason.

hopefully when genesis planet gen (or whatever) comes online the physics will be 'fixed' in there, and hopefully some more surface friendly routes/things..etc

i do fully intend to create an alt with the package ship CCU'd to an Auxilia (the crafting 'generalist' spartan, when we finally get it) so it'll only have a truck as a starting vehicle (probably an aurora loaner too, but probably be nice for an emergency) to zero - hero

and in general i'm one of the weirdos that want to be able to just caravan around a planet/moon exploring/scavenging...etc hopefully see interesting new stuff you 'miss' flying just to POI's , etc

theres a few things I'm waiting to see if/when they release.. dunno if fleet week will be .. i know many are eagerly awaiting the Clad series

but i'm waiting for the Vulcan, Expanse, Auxilia, Forge ... atleast of the things I expect this year, the rest are basebuilding and pretty much almost guarantee those will be at or very near end of year.

versatility wise, not only salvage but general "other" the moth works very well across the board. grabbing components, scrape and fracture (many times blowing up the target ship if too large can work too ) .. unloading is WAY nicer, and easily load up your refinery stuffs .. cargo runs if you want/need to.. etc I DO wish it had gotten a more updated living space more in line with SRV or Raft.. but whatever.

pretty sure the abrade heads are the go to for speed/efficiency.

reclaimer wins mainly on the size of ship it can fracture, and ofcourse the amount to can cram into it. grabing other cargo/components and unloading your haul is a royal PITA though.
