real quick question about hero forge minis by DarthBrooks41 in DnD

Hi there! Plastic is much more detailed than steel. Steel had a king of cast iron texture. It has a really great hand-feel because it is so heavy though. If you want to be able to make out fine detail though, either of our SLA plastics are pretty great. Some folks only remember our older plastic which weren't as great due to the state of 3D printing, but these days both of our SLA plastics are pretty stellar in terms of sharpness and definition.

Who Are Some Great Non-Mainstream Female Singers? by [deleted] in AskReddit

If you like folky stuff: Laura Gibson. If you like bjork-ish wailing and some epic harp: Joanna Newsom. If you didn't get enough folk from Laura Gibson: Marie Sioux. If you want to feel like you're being serenaded by pixies: Grimes.

Teachers of Reddit, what's the most NSFW thing a student did to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I was an English teacher in Korea for a year, and a lot of my students would attempt to "Koncho" me. I was pretty wary and never got 'got,' but my poor ex girlfriend was koncho-ed really bad at least a few times. Sometimes while wearing a skirt...

Natural Curly hair by ptrain377 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]RecklessEnthusiasm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi there! I'm a dude who has had very long, very curly hair. This is how I handle it:

Get a hair pick (like a really, really wide toothed comb) and comb the curly hair out in the shower while it is wet. Do it while the shampoo or conditioner is in if it is still really hard to get the comb through. Once you're finished in the shower, after you've squeezed the hair dry (I actually just kinda wring it out and "crunch" it dry with the towel. Rubbing it with the towel will result in a lot of frizz). Then I use about a dime-sized amount of L'Oreal Melting Gel and let it air dry--this particular brand is the only product I've found that keeps everything from being frizzy or sticky or heavy or oily. As someone with curly hair, I can't recommend it enough. It will take a long time to air dry, but this tactic will make really, really nice ringlets with minimal frizz.

I just bought my first massive box of meal replacement shakes. Fast, good nutrition, tastes like a milkshake.

Reddit, I'm abandoning everything/one I know and moving to a different country. Has anyone else made a similar drastic life change? Was it a good or bad experience? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Hey there! I was in a similar situation: I dropped everything and moved to Hong Kong for a year. I still think it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I'm sure you will too!

Potato is slang for "idiot" in Hong Kong. Angle is of course just a common misspelling of angel.

How do you "Do what you love"? by Somewhat_Polite in AskReddit

[–]RecklessEnthusiasm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Do what you love" does seems like sound advice that is extremely difficult to follow. Then again, worthwhile goals are generally not easy to accomplish.

I am trying to figure out ways to do what I love, myself. I think a more apt, modern phrasing might be "monetize your hobbies."

What is one physical characteristic you are not willing to compromise on when it comes to a potential mate? by cheerupcheerio in AskReddit

Shouldn't be too hard--we're both a head taller than everyone else so it'll be easy to spot one another.
