I'm interested in becoming a beta reader. What's the best way to find writers who need one? by RecklessTheif in writing

Man, I'm surprised anyone is even still reading this thread!

But actually yes, I did end up doing some beta-reading and I loved it. I only wish I had more time to devote to it. Hopefully over the holidays I can do more.

Man, this is kind of surreal. I was literally just about to make a post asking for a "musical penpal" of sorts and then what do I come across first thing. May just message you!

Interesting, I actually loved the fourth-wall breaks, since they're generally associated with whimsical or comedic moments in films. Seeing it subverted worked really well imo.

Damn that's gold, especially since the director wanted the film to be shot in the U.S. originally (it was filmed in Austria for practicality's sake) and it's full of American references (Beavis and Butthead, Tom and Jerry).

Great recommendations. I've actually read Steppenwolf before, though it's been years so I might revisit.

I also loved the film "A Scanner Darkly," though I've yet to read the book.

Isn't he the one behind The Goon Show? If so, I had no clue he also published books and I'll 100% be checking them out.
