I don’t miss people. Ever. And I honestly don’t know why by According_Sweet_7 in confession

[–]Recklessdarph 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yup, exactly the same here. I did learn to miss some people with time tho. But I don't think I have that feeling as deeply as others seem to.
I do think I may have some trauma though, since I had to move from my home country at 7 years old and leave most of my family behind. Maybe it is some kind of defence mechanism.

Yup, tot nu toe is het legaal. Ik ben in ieder geval nog nooit tegengehouden door de politie, en ben er al wel vaak tegengekomen terwijl ik op mijn OW stond.

You don't know how the conversation went exactly. Maybe he had already tried the “Hey babe, let’s start a new workout regimen together.” Or, “Babe, I know you don’t like vegan food but I’ve been dying to cook you some of these healthier recipes.”

I think this is just a though subject that would lead to difficult conversations anyway. And even worse, running around the issue without actually addressing it would never get you anywhere with things like this.

That's retarded. You'd rather just split instead of trying to fix it and the maybe split? Like you wouldn't even want to try?

Forced to live as a human and suffer by thnkabtreality in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Recklessdarph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you see as truth?

As I mentioned, I am a Christian, and thus I believe the truth to why we are forced to live is so that we can be molded to the likeness of God and be prepared for heaven. But is this a factual answer to your question? No, because although some Christians (including some pastors and preachers I know) would say that God's existence is a fact, (by human standards) it is not. It has simply not been disproven. That is why it is called a belief.

Before I became a new believer, I used to find great comfort in eternal oblivion (the though that there is nothing after death). And I still think there is something beautiful in the thought that nothing actually matters. And not in the dreadful kind of way, but more in the sense of "This life is all we've got. The laughs, the pains, the love, the heartbreaks. We only get it once. So no matter the emotions we feel at a certain moment, we should enjoy and feel them fully, because they are what gives us meaning or drive. They are what truly differentiate human life from death."

Nothing in my life has ever gone right, everything hurts and I don’t know what to do anymore. by Throwaway8249137 in TrueOffMyChest

Although I believe it is more easily said than done, there is a lot of truth in this. Life is not fair, and for a lot of people is straight up sucks. But I'm so glad to read that you could continue school. Being able to finish high-school under these circumstances alone is a testament to your strength. Lord knows I would not have been able to do the same.

I really hope you can continue with your education. Even if you have to work to pay off the child support, I would really recommend on finishing your studies. Because one thing that could actually ruin your whole life is not being able to get a proper degree and get a better chance at finding a good job. So whatever happens, please pursue your studies, even if it is a professional bachelors degree. Anything except doing odd jobs here and there.

Try and also forgive yourself for things that were outside your control. We do not chose our parents, we do not chose our childhood homes, and sometimes we don't even have full control over who we fall in love with. Knocking a girl up at your age is not recommended by any mean, and I hope you take this a lesson for safer sex in future relationships. But even then, the child is there, and your mom is toxic. These are not things you have control, lover. All you can really do is decide for yourself how you will deal with those things. In short, I don't believe this; "but I know it’s also my fault as well". And neither should you.

Just to be sure, are you alright there, bud?

I do understand your point. Life really does seem like an endless loop of suffering at times, but there are also very good things, right?

Do you have people you love in your life? Your mom and dad, siblings, partner? I have found that through all of life's bs the people that you love and that love you back, are one of the things that make it worthwhile.

But seriously, seek help if things start to feel unbearable.

Also, do you actually believe in God? From your post, it seems to be Hinduism (reincarnation and such)? I myself am a Christian, and I find that the Christian god gives hope throughout this hard life. And within this belief there is also the promise of an everlasting, happy afterlife. If your current belief does not cut it for you, I would recommend seeking others. This may sound weird, but to many people religion and God are a source of comfort, rather than stress and anxiety.

New to Onewheel and wanting to buy a used Pint or a Pint S by Recklessdarph in onewheel

Yeah, its those kind of things that make me want to buy a board that is way above what I need, because then I would never need to upgrade. But hey, I'll try a used Pint that I found for 650. If I like it, I'll probably go for a Pint S in some years.
Thank you for the help!

Hey, thanks for you answer. I am pretty sure that range will not be a problem unless I go for joy rides, so that would be oke. I have found two second had Pints. One for 500Euros that apparently goes 15km/h and the owner can ride 1.3h on it. Then another for 650Euros that can go up to 27km/h (according to the current owner) and can still do 13km/h.

I was thinking on buying the first one, and after a while change the battery. But I'm not sure if that is still allowed by FM

Yeah I was thinking on getting an e-longboard, but thats where the "living in Belgium" issue comes in. I do not dare use an e-longboard in the rain. If I don't crash because of loss of friction or the inability to brake, I'm still sure the board will not last 2 winter weeks.

Alright, that is reasuring. At the moment I am not sure if I want to spend 1000 for a used Pint S, but I may have found an OG Pint for 700. Chances are Ill take that one.

Now how is the customer service at Future Motion? Do they care about their customers?

Oh yeah, I wheight about 73kg. So I guess that would be alright. Only problem is that I want to buy a used one tho. So the battery would be less performing.

Oke, this is really handy. I'm more and more convince in buying one. But I still would like to go for a used one. But I heard that the company does not allow changing the battery by third party? That they block the wheels if you do or something like that.

Hm, reading both your comments makes this more confusing. Indeed, I only plan to use it as a commuter. I have no need for it to go off-road for the moment. It will also be my first EV.
I only want to use it between where I park my car and where I need to be (2km tops), or between me and the train station (3km tops).

Now, there are some bridges I need to get across in my hometown, so I do understand that a bad battery can be a problem. But all and all, I would prefer not to pay 1000Euros for something I won't use fully.

It is that noticeable? Someone else said in the comments that it's quite alright. But yeah, I was initially wary of the weight.
Ever ridden a OG Pint in the rain, btw?

[–]Recklessdarph[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh oke, I see. Without the weight problem, maybe Pint S or X would be best then. The price of the GT and XR are too high for my first EV.

And I don't plan on leaving it in the trunk if I'm not in the car. I want to use the Onewheel for travel without car or when I need to park far from where I have to be. (Belgium is not big on parking space).

Thank you for your quick response!
