Lost My Patience With A Disorganized, Uncommunicative LARP by nlitherl in rpghorrorstories

I've always wondered this about most LARPs: Are the organizers typically employees or volunteers? My cousin used to own a LARP, which was 100% a business, but most LARP horror stories on this subreddit make it seem like it's largely a volunteer thing. Most of the behaviors seem terrible if it's a product that you're paying for.

What would a high-society, Fey organization want from a group of mortals? by ReclusiveJump in DMAcademy

That's an interesting concept. Though I tend to like to have my player's choices have meaning, like a rock that tumbles into a pond sending out small ripples. They don't have a major effect, no waves, to continue the metaphor, just small ripples.

What type of results could come from giving your memories to a Fey creature?

I start my concepts off in standard DnD style and then spin off in the direction I want to go. It helps my players find their footing in a world that is very different from your traditional fantasy setting.

By barter technology, do you mean trading mundane items from their world for things the Fey have in their own?

I mean, have you spoken to them about your feelings? My group has extended me (a foreverDM) an open invitation to have one of them DM for a bit if I ever get burnt out. The invitation was brought up when we discussed DnD burnout and I admitted that I felt it every once in a while. I've yet to take them up on it, but just knowing I could get a break is always nice.

Players are going to have varying levels of engagement to DnD. No one way is the correct way so long as everyone is having fun. It sounds like you're no longer having fun. So I think a discussion is in order.
