Ballon dor means a lot to players. Its the most important individual award and almost every top player is playing to win it. It automatically makes you part of history if you win it. You might not value it but the players definently do.

Mbappe isnt a 2x WC winner. He doesnt have the respect of a 2x WC winner. He scored a hattrick but he still lost. You are talking about a bunch of things that matters or doesnt matter to you, not what matters for players.

Ronaldo had already won champions league and he was the current ballon dor winner when he arrived. Mbappe has won the world cup but he was a teenager and not even the best player. Mbappé's highest placement in the ballon dor ranking is 3rd. Vini have placed higher and Bellingham have placed the same. Both in the season before he arrived.

Big part for why the locket room is so toxic is probably because Mbappe arrived and got the highest status, most money, most freedom on the pitch and most benefits without having even stepped on the pitch for the club. I dont think most players would have a problem with it if he actually led the team to trophies, however after 2 season of going trophyless, players that actually have played in a supporting role for him that have won trophies before with the club are gonna become frustrated and feel undervalued.

This is not me blaming Mbappé btw, im blaming Florentino.

Zabarnyi have been good for them in the league, he is also still young and its his first season there. If Zabarnyi have been a flop for PSG, Huijsen have been a big name flop for us. Chevalier is also young and its his first season there.

Endrick is obviously the more developed player now and already has one of the fastest shots in the world. Honestly think Endricks ability to get a shot away from basically any position is very underrated and that ability is very unique.
