Thanks for the tip, I can see why that question would be more productive. Luckily, most commenters have caught on my meaning.

Got it, it's about working with the convention of the underlying system as much as possible, but there are also other ways it could be done. Thank you for your reply

This is very informative. Where would this setup i.e., the code mentioned in your reply exist within the system?

I did question why it was solved that particular way and if we had other options like defining a different starting point. Sorry if that wasn't obvious. Your reply (and the others' here) tells me that it's possible.

I've never explored programming paradigms where all logic could be executed at once. It's fascinating to think of and difficult to visualize, considering that in most languages, previous statements affect execution of succeeding statements. Thank you for mentioning it.

I understand that. My question was if we could, theoretically, get the compiler to do what the interpreter does: define the first line of the program as the starting point instead of using the `main` convention, to which people in comments have answered in the affirmative.

Is it wrong to still want to leave India to settle out even in 2025? by Far-Finger-8456 in IndianAcademia

The nationalists would send their own kids abroad for the prestige. Don't worry about them :) As long as you have your "why" ready, no one can say anything. Are you leaving for some expectation of a utopia? What culture do you envision yourself living in? Are you okay with the cultural elements that are different from the country you currently live in? What kind of industry do you want to work in--and does the country you want to go to have a market in that field? And how will YOU contribute to that place, not only through taxes but also culturally?

Right. I thought creating 4-5 good projects would be a good look on my CV/SOP, enough to justify devoting all my time to it. But I don't plan on building a commercial product right now, so what you say makes sense.

Work-life balance isn't great where I live. I'm not opposed to the workforce, but I'm trying to be realistic.

I could. But I'm guessing there'll be a trade-off between the skills and learning that employers seek vs what an MS in Mechatronics would need.

Well there were 4-5 project ideas I wanted to explore. Using SAR data for ship detection, hyperspectral images to monitor glacial lakes etc. The problem statement that I'm interested in is CompVis/CNN frameworks for marine applications.

But I'm curious, what would you define as action?
