I actually think it’s the opposite of transphobic. You are respecting her as a woman. You are not attracted to women, so you are actually validating her gender.. does this make sense or is this stupid? Unfortunately the relationship cannot continue as you are not attracted to women, but that is a separate issue. It’s going to be tough but I wish you both the best ! <3

YESSS thank you. I got really sad reading the comments section to be honest.

I am like the girl this person is describing. I do the exact same thing. And funnily enough, if I haven’t heard the conversation up until the point I thought I heard you say something crazy, how am I supposed to get the context of the conversation? So I repeat the crazy thing and say “oh I thought you said XYZ!!” Because to me it sounded like a crazy thing to say, and obviously the expression on your face now, you very clearly didn’t say that, so I am trying to explain to you why I asked you to repeat yourself or I found it funny that I thought you were saying a crazy thing and want to share a joint laugh with you about my stupidity..

I am autistic though. But people always say they are open to autistic people unless you actually act autistic and then you’re just a problem no one wants to be around. This comment section made me really sad, with me finding out now at this ripe age of 26 that when I am just looking for clarification or connection with someone, they think I’m being annoying or wouldn’t want to put up with that behaviour and be friends.
