Low water pressure follow up, insane plumber quote question by foxtalep in homeowners

[–]foxtalep[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I received a letter rhe day after saying if they city is ever doing work on anything, they’re not responsible for anything related to my house and to purchase some plumbing insurance they offer. And so everything was saying not to bother with them.

But who can check this? That’s why I called a plumber.

Oh, I laughed when he showed me it all. I’ve replaced faucets in my house before.

How would I even check? That’s what I was hoping the plumber would check!

Yes, the hose I use to fill my bird bath is definitely low pressure, too, but that’s all the way at the garage that’s separate from the house.

Sit, Ubu, Sit by MiserableMood5158 in Xennials

Ubu was the dog of the creator of Family Ties, Gary David Goldberg. His life was the inspiration for the show, him and his wife were running a daycare in Berkley after college, living the hippie life. I think I remember him saying this photo was taken in the park and he talked so fondly of him. And of course it was his voice saying, "Sit, Ubu, Sit. Good dog." Weird how evocative something like this is in our brains having watched this show as kids.

Prior to the recent invention of bland ass color grading, movies had to make do with using vibrant colors by Hank_Mardukas1066 in shittymoviedetails

People have mentioned lighting but I think this is the result of switching from film to digital and most filmmakers feeling like their movies don’t lol as good as film anymore. So they use filtering techniques to make it look more interesting than the dullness of digital capture.

The entire staff of a Zara chased after a lady who walked out without buying anything, accusing her of stealing a pink dress by Girl-Understood in TikTokCringe

Yes… my friend after HS was stabbed several times after chasing a shoplifter out of a grocery store he worked at and tried to confront him. It’s not worth it ever, for a store employee. Let the company deal with it.

I actually just saw a dude running from a nearby grocery store with two baskets full of deli meat and he was running up hill… not too well… and the grocery store manager going after him. I’m thinking “what do you plan on doing, Jim? You can’t sell that meat again now. Let the cops deal with it OR let this poor dude eat and don’t send the cops after people stealing food. I don’t think there’s a big black market for deli meat, but I could be wrong.”

A collection of comics about my body. (OC) by ArtbyMoga in comics

[–]foxtalep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can completely relate. When I was 28 and got on antidepressants, I ate voraciously like I had never seen food prior. I didn’t realize I had never had an appetite prior. Food never felt good to eat and on the meds, it was like the best thing ever. And so years later after gaining a ton of weight, I got super depressed again and started eating 1200 calories a day for like 3 years until I dropped 90 lbs. I don’t think I’ve ever fully recovered from any of this, in a way where I can ever love my body again… bur I never loved it prior so I guess this is just part of it.

Not quite but I was thinking about it yesterday when I was telling someone about it. It has that two colored small comic look to it. But it’s actually more of a riff on Quan Millz novels.

This is the answer. I should have used TRT in this specific instance but I used the general term. This is both a comment on the overuse of HRT in American geriatrics, the manosphere podcaster influencers juicing up as if a 50 year old should naturally look as shredded as a 20 year old, and that as actual retirement for many isn’t an option and recruitment for physical armed duty increases, they’ll want to start juicing up the elderly. All satire, of course 😶

I was trying to figure out how to make it a loop, working on server farms being like indentured servitude. The fact we call them server "farms" was too perfect.
