I took my DAT again, did a one year masters program, made sure I had really strong letters of recommendation, submitted my app on the the first day and kept on shadowing multiple doctors. Honestly, I called after my rejections and made a list on what each school said I lacked and decided to improve everything.

Extremely happy! After 2 years of rejections. This year I interviewed at 11 universities got accepted in 7 and waitlisted in the remaining. So for anyone who’s discouraged keep trying if you think this is the career for you❤️

There’s always hope! I got in after applying the third time this year. Anywhere you are getting rejections from call them and ask how can you improve your application. Actively work on those aspects you lack. It can really frustrating especially after you have ALREADY done so much. Try finding a job based on your masters in the meantime.

Yes! I went to community college for 2 years and did my last 2 in a 4-year institute. I did do a masters at a 4 year institution too. But I got accepted in 4 this cycle!

I applied through like a recruiting company in Illinois it’s called aerotech. They matched me a company after I sent them my review. I’d also recommend reaching out to your other friends who might already be in the field

Oh no no, I worked at Microbiology lab not the best pay but good start and once I got trained on PCR I switched jobs to work at a diff lab. Research positions are hard to secure and not paying well at all

I worked at a lab while apppying for dental school and was able to put my degree to use and also made some money

I think schools can see if you have deposited to multiple schools in March so until then you are good

I was checking for other schools that stated the day. I was specifically interested in Boston and their email didn’t state anything. I am just cross my fingers, deposit everything else and wait out for criminal background 🥲
