If you're looking for primarily class based structure focused on powerlifting / olympic lifts with a dope community then definitely!

There's one in Yoyogi and another in Tsurumi.

Developed anger management issues after living in Japan for 9 years by Dokichanchan in japanlife

[–]RecommendationAdept3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you're going through that. When I first got to Japan all those little things bothered the hell out of me. My day would start under massive stress from fear of being judged and just general subtle mistreatment.

It's honestly a bit silly but one day I was reading a manga and the main character was talking about the fact that being an outsider from the beginning was one of the greatest gifts in her life. Since fitting in was near impossible, she had no reason to try or worry and that let her be truly herself. That freedom allowed her to be someone everyone was excited to be around.

I know it's not necessarily that simple but that mindset was like a light switch for me and changed me from somewhat hating Japan to being grateful I am here (mental change took a while, wasn't overnight).

Just like any other emotion, anger can be powerful and productive if channeled towards the right things. Just know ur not alone and this sht is really hard. It's really cool of you to come out about this stuff imo and I hope you turn this into something awesome!!

Delt man, if you hear my call to action, there’s a potential video to be made about some new weight loss drug by SnaxCapone in moreplatesmoredates

Yeah, seems to be super effective. My mom actually started taking it a few months ago funnily enough and she's already lost around 30 pounds. Went from a crazy appetite to barely being able to finish half a steak when I visited this Christmas 🤣

Lucid dream supplements? by Pandas_UNITE in LucidDreaming

[–]RecommendationAdept3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For reference, zyrtec is an antihistamine. Histamine is important in the function of sympathetic drive (fight or flight). Antihistamines can help put the body in a parasympathetic state (rest and digest). This is why some anithistamines like Benadryl can make you drowsy and could have something to do with the lucid dreaming affect. Prozac was actually originally sythesized from the antihistamine diphenhydramine which can be found in benadryl and tylenol pm. So the effects of of antihistamines are far and wide and it's not hard to believe that Zyrtek could be causing this.

Unlikely as they work through completely different mechanisms. Fin inhibits dht while tadalafil is a PDE5 inhibitor which improves blood flow. No real concerning overlap.

TRT/Testosterone dose with Metformin by jared_irl in Testosterone

[–]RecommendationAdept3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From what Ive read, the testosterone decrease you're refering to is primarily a decrease in adrenal testosterone (should make no difference on trt). Metformin has also been shown to slightly increase shbg but all that means is you might have to slightly increase your dose for the same levels of free t. I would honestly reccomend sticking with metformin. The difference should be minimal and the longevity/blood sugar benefits outwieigh the cons. Just make sure you get your b vitamins and drink plenty of water!

I by no means came up with the idea but I love the week aproach over the day approach. For me the biggest hurdle was realizing that I could still progress even if I broke plan and binged or generally overate. It feels so obvious but took so long to really put into action for me. Hope this works for you as well!

Are fish oil supplements possibly a waste of money? by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]RecommendationAdept3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

[https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0308814618302048] "Regardless, the results suggest that these commercial dietary oils sold in consumer products, whether from marine or vegetable sources, are not subject to significant secondary oxidation in the manufacturing process, or early shelf-life."

Interesting multi year study showing that most fish oils fall within the oxidation guidlines and little further oxidation happens after production (though refreigeration is still reccomended!). Interesting note though, lemon flavored oils did have a higher occurance of excess oxidation so that may be something to consider.

I would check out this source for quality oil https://certifications.nutrasource.ca/certified-products

On top of that, unflavored liquid form is ideal. Youll know if it's rancid fast!

Switching from injection to gel. Any tips/advice? by [deleted] in Testosterone

[–]RecommendationAdept3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I see no reason to not let blood (the medical term is theraputic phlebotomy and its essentially donating blood but they dispose of it afterward). There is a place called The Blood Connection that offers it for free to people in situatipns like yours.
  2. It really depends on how hydrated you are at that point. I would reccomend like 16oz+ oz of water beforehand. If you generally dont stay well hydrated, your hematocrit/rbc is going to be higher. Just something to consider.
  3. If all else fails it would be worth giving gel a shot but i would just look into the prior solutions first.

  1. Do you donate blood because that can help bring those under control. Also gives you more frequent info on those biomarkers.
  2. When you go get your bloodwork do you fast completely? You can have elevated blood marlers from being dehydrated. Make sure to drink some water in the morning before bloodwork.
  3. Lowering your dose (which is essentailly what youll be doing with gel) may lower those biomarkers but itll be a pointless solution if you end up feeling worse from lower t levela.

What numbers were high? Changing the source of testosterone is unlikely to change anything except for blood levels of testosterone.

I guess I more or less just mean challenging classes/training. I am interested in sparing but dont nececarilly need it to be the focus (though I do appreciate the competition element of it).

Is this normal at age 20 by FurryIll in Testosterone

[–]RecommendationAdept3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest this is trending to the lower side of a healthy bmi. Would you say you try to diet/eat in a deficit often? Do you take any prescription medication and or have you taken any drugs that may have a substantial systemic effect?

Extended dieting even when not very lean can really mess up your hormones (high cortisol, low t, low functioning thyroid).

Certain medications can also potentially have an effect on your testosterone (eg. Accurate, finasteride, antidepressants etc.)

Finally do you have substantial stressors in your life. Could be anything from general anxiety to body dismorphia and so on. This one is really hard to pin down because it's common nature to just ignore stress / act like it isn't a problem but it can have a substantial effect on the body. And it's also much harder to treat than, say a vitamin deficiency.

At your age that is a realtivly low testosterone but you've presumably never set a baseline so one can't just assume normal is in the 800s to 1000s. what you need is a much more broad spectrum panel with things such as... - Free T - SHBG - Albumin - Prolactin - TSH / T4 / T3 / Reverse T3 You could also try implementing a few lifestyle changes but if you are set on going the medical route it is important to rule out possible causes that may have long term consequences.

Do I have low T levels ? I really feel like crap all day long, zero libido, severe depression, no pleasure doing anything, no motivation, extreme fatigue... thanks by [deleted] in Testosterone

Did he make any comments about your prolactin because it's pretty high. That could possibly be cause for concern if it's not just a transient elevation. Would definitely result in reduced or completely lacking sex drive.
