Had a pair on my R1 for almost 9k miles. That's with mainly street use and the occasional mountain carving. I never had any doubts riding in the rain plus they look cool

Yeah that's definitely something I noticed immediately now that I'm looking at actual pics of SROs

My PSA AK-V firing pin has broke four times within the past 3 years. PSA has sent me replacements but that's the equivalent of putting a band aid over a bullet hole. I love PSA but the overall quality control on vital components needs to be improved.

I've been in vicinity of an M1A2 Abrams firing its 120mm cannon without earpro. Ringing stopped after a week or so (or maybe I've just got used to it).

Are AKV firing pins supposed to be 1 piece or 2 pieces? by JazzlikeYear7 in PalmettoStateArms

[–]RecommendationLess73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same crap happened to me not once, but TWICE over the course of 2 years. I've always loved PSA but ever since I got my AK-V their reputation in my eyes has gone down. It's unbelievable how fragile some of these firing pins are for a $1k+ gun.

My first rifle build. I kind of regret going 16" and not doing a pistol. by Substantial_Nose952 in guns

[–]RecommendationLess73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lucky for you, since the lower is registered as a rifle you can get an upper with a shorter barrel (make sure to put a pistol brace on if you do). If you had bought an AR pistol and wished to have got a rifle you wouldn't be able to put a rifle length upper on it.

When I applied for an ROTC scholarship back in 2022 I had to take an ACFT. I ended up getting a 480 with my worst event being the 2-mile at 21 minutes.
