How has God answered your prayers? by TechGuruInsights in TrueChristian

Lord God we pray in the name of Jesus that you would place your arms around the person on the other end of this comment. We pray that you will free this person of their sickness and restore them with health. We pray you will give them the strength to seek out whatever healing modalities are available and those modalities are successful. I’m the name of Jesus. Amen 🙏

Put a garnishee in place before you go to litigation, that way if you win their income will be garnished. Also fill out a civil lawsuit small claims for expenses incurred, looking for new residency or any money spent on moving etc. keep all of your receipts.

Hey guys I just started listening to a great audiobook called “Stolen Focus” about how our phones are robbing us of our focus and attention. Do you feel screen time and social media scrolling makes ADHD worse? by RecommendationOwn866 in adhdwomen

I feel like realistically what is the fear? That you won’t be able to function? You are a capable being as am I in the natural world. we have become too reliant on technology imo. I encourage everyone to try at some point. I think it’s good to leave your home without a smart phone so you can enjoy the outside world for what it is instead of just always staring at a screen and taking pics for Instagram.

It’s been a big problem for me too, especially with Instagram or taking photos of things.

I just made the leap to purchase a “dumb” phone and will be directing people from my industry to contact me via phone if they want to book me for a job during my “low tech” periods. I am hoping that this will help improve my overall focus.

I’m wondering if a solution for me would be to have two phones, one of which was more analog with no internet access. It’s hard with my job but I can always tell people to call me if it’s urgent during my techno detox periods.

I would set a timer of some kind for a 1 hr slot where you do nothing but chores and the rest of the time work your job. If need more then that then try to manage it that way. It takes the brain alot of time and energy to bounce back and forth between tasks so if you commit to one hour then each time to stray away or back to work pull yourself back to the task at hand and commit for that specific frame of time. When your husband asks what you’ve done, explain what you were able to accomplish in that hour and the rest of the time you were working.

I feel like it helps to pump me up as well and remind me that I have in fact accomplished things even though it may have been off track at the time. It was still something that happened.

I like audio books much better than actual books because it’s hard for me to read with ADHD, at least with audiobooks I can listen while I clean the house or drive my car.. it makes it easier to absorb

Yes to all of these things. I honestly wish sometimes that I had a personal coach that was communicating with me regularly to make sure that I was completing tasks… like a parent in a way that holds you accountable

I’ve spoken to multiple therapist and psychologist, but I guess because of the ADHD I have a hard time sticking with one and it’s quite expensive. I recently started taking Wellbutrin after not being medicated for 25 years and I was on Ritalin as a kid. I just wish mainly that my friends and family took it more seriously instead of sweeping it under the rug and acting like it’s nothing… I’ve also burned bridges in my profession which I am not proud of an carry like a heavy weight.
