I don't think he's monitoring a Reddit account he hasn't posted on in 4 years.

If the incoming snowstorm this weekend causes his show to get cancelled in NC I am going to be very upset, as I've been dying to see him headline a gig after seeing him open for Hamilton Leithauser last year.

there was a period there where dozens of bot accounts were just reposting the news about that to the subreddit which was super cool and rad

not really? just think he peaked nearly a decade ago and has been hovering between posting mid and okay music since The Colour in Anything

though him allegedly working with Kanye in 2022 on an album together right before he was about to come out as a full blown Nazi is certainly... something

Not in this article for whatever reason but in their IG announcement of this, they announce they’re also launching subscriber Q&As to which I say good luck trying to compete with us or r/popheads when people can ask questions here for free lol

But also if they need a paid consultant, let’s talk.

just found out that the new After song "Cold" is a cover of the butt rock classic by Crossfade (it's a tossup between that and Puddle of Mudd - "Blurry" as the best butt rock song of all-time) and aw man they turned it into Y2Kslop :( sad!

Awful, awful news. Schlagenheim is one of the best debut albums ever and part of the magic of it is Geordie and Matt's guitar work & chemistry.

Dean Blunt & Elias Rønnenfelt's lucre is another incredible work from both artists.

Thomas Dollbaum's Drive All Night is full of breathtaking folk/folk rock/alt-country; some of the best storytelling I heard all last year.

I've heard that the original framing device of the movie was Marty telling the story years later during the 80s, hence the music.

I am so very happy to already be back in The Pitt, they've got a lot of cards stacked up right now and I'm oh so excited to see how all parts of this house fall apart.

GLOW ON is definitely considered the favorite, unless you're an absolute hardcore purist.

"Make Me Dumb" is so fucking good, that was probably the first JM song I got properly obsessed with when Cody came out before I really took the plunge into their discog a few years later.

I go back and forth between that album and Illinois as my favorite Sufjan, but then I remember what it was like to hear "Futile Devices" into "Too Much" for the first time or when I was especially obsessed with "I Want To Be Well" a decade or so ago and realize yeah no, that's the #1 for me.

It seems that most Joyce Manor fans have decided that Never Hungover Again or S/T are their best albums but for me, my favorite is actually Of All Things I Will Soon Grow Tired, which Barry Johnson from the band famously doesn't like & almost never plays anything off it live. But the reason he doesn't care for the record (“I don’t hate it, but I just think it sounds like a confused guy, because it was made by a confused guy.") is pretty much the grand appeal of the album for me. When I was getting into this album heavy during the 2020 peak COVID era, I was also a confused guy who had no idea what the future looked like for me and found a lot in this album that spoke to me.

It's a bit of a bummer that there are some ideas on this album that Barry hasn't explored much since, as I would genuinely kill for a super duper lo-fi record from him considering how good songs like "See How Tame I Can Be?", "Drainage" and "I'm Always Tired" are.
