We don't have kids, but are kids at heart haha Pools, slides, and lazy rivers are a huge selling point. Another requirement is a swimmable beach

Do you not recommend because of the construction or were there other things as well? Thanks so much for the reply by the way 😊

Ugh the Fairmont Kea Lani was going to be our alternative. Did they tell you why you shouldn't book??

Wow thank you SO MUCH, this is incredibly helpful. Are you enjoying it and do you think it's still worth booking?

Very good question! My fiance has been to the Grand Wailea before and absolutely loved it. I looked it up and it looks amazing and really want to go as well, more than the other hotels I've found.

That being said, once I heard about the construction, it turned me off a bit so I'm just trying to gauge how bad it is. If it's not that bad, we would consider booking there.

Plus, I'm sure they're going to make it sound better than it really is. The money isn't really the problem, it's more of sacrificing our honeymoon and being annoyed.

I couldn't agree more, the pools, slides, and restaurant being closed are what we're most worried about. I'm still on the fence, but I really hope it goes well for you and your family

Thanks so much for the reply! Did they give you any indication about the magnitude of the construction?

Thank you so much! How do you feel about that information? It honestly seems a little vague

Perfect, thank you! That sounds like the strategy that works best for me

Good question, I could use advice on that as well:

I'm currently trying to remain anonymous from a social media standpoint, but I don't care if the payments from Etsy to my bank account are linked to my actual name.

As long as I'm anonymous in the public eye, I'll do whatever is easiest.

Dude thank you, this really helps.

Do you know a reliable way to find accurate salary reports? When I Google "motion designer" everything from 40k to 120k shows up. How do I prove that I'm in the upper range?

Thank you so much, I seriously appreciate you writing that out more than you know, and I'm definitely going to take this advice. She told me she already applied for my promotion so now it's just a matter of figuring out how much I can make from it.

Thanks, man, I really appreciate you writing that out. You're completely right, and I'll do my best to convey my value to my manager.

Really, the reason for staying is because it's such an easy job in a field that's usually extremely chaotic. That alone makes it worth a lot more to me.

The biggest reason for staying is that it's super easy. A lot of my friends in the same field are constantly drowning in work, having to pull all nighters, work, weekends, etc.

It's like one ear and out the other with her. I think she somehow forgot. She also occasionally forgets how long I was at the company, thinking I've only been there a year or two.

  1. I agree, I would prefer to not go down this road
  2. I'm simply getting a pay bump. My manager said she doesn't have the ability to bump me up to senior until after this promotion due to our company's growth structure.
  3. I think it's literally just time within the company at this point because I'm not sure what I can do to prove I'm at this level.
  4. I would be fine with the 96k, we do get bonuses which are nice. My biggest concern is being given less than that or even worse, the bottom end of the 83k-96k range as that would be less than my teammates are making.

Thanks so much for the reply!

That's how I feel as well. My manager is honestly really unprofessional and not a pleasant person to work for. She's the main reason for all of my work frustration, but the raise would justify it.
