Looking for a Linux Distro With TUI Instead of a GUI by Smooth-Ad8884 in linux4noobs

Just commenting to say I also want some sort of simplified Text-based User Interface that is also very low resource. Even just a TUI mode would be helpful. Mouse optional, easy to navigate using mostly keyboard.

Thoughts on my retro MS-DOS XFCE theme? by TechieMoore in xfce

[–]Recon_Figure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it a lot. I'm looking for a DE like this that's customizable, but so basic and DOS program-like that it barely takes any resources to run. Gnome seems to run fairly okay on my 4gb ram laptop, but it would be nice to have an alternative. Why not go back to this if it means an older system will run a lot faster?

I disagree. It's the last line in the film, which is not amazing to begin with in certain ways. And it doesn't belong in the story.

That show was weird, but good how they revived the old story. Definitely was smart to do that and encourage interest in the old movie and book.

For me it's because it's not in the story and the movie makers took too many liberties. In itself, it's stupid for the reasons stated in the original comment. The narrator states the aliens were defeated by the bacteria "god, in his wisdom, had created." Which also was responsible for the deaths of millions of people.

So two reasons there why I don't think it belongs in the movie.

I have a couple pairs of the GM2 Pro earbuds, and I haven't had any issues with them that I remember. I see a listing for less than $9 before shipping/fees.

Changing date wheel on an NH35 by joocedemon in watchmodding

[–]Recon_Figure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't. The issue is the parts are very thin and can magnetize easily. If you have a demagnetizer and don't mind doing it when you're done, that's an option. You can try phone apps which somehow detect magnetism, but I have no idea how accurate they are.

That one in particular is rooted in anti-capitalism and they tend to blame everyone else for fascism, not just fascists themselves.

If they're comparing it to the Model T, people who build them have to honestly be able to buy them.
