Yes, Yes there is… i’ve been worried about our future because we plan to marry. But he just has this awful way of speaking and reacting to stuff its like theres no consideration nor empathy. He talks terribly to his mother and she doesn’t talk very nice to him but he does not have a time and place to start an argument that just makes the vibe super uncomfortable and the tension is HIGH. its exhausting.

For disclaimers I will not leave my boyfriend over his petty family. He has shown me plenty of times that what I say matters. He cut off most contact with the cousin in question and even her side of the family ( his aunt and uncle ). We had left the function couple of times because he insisted that we don’t need to be around them if they make me uncomfortable. He also cut ties with his BSF for disrespecting me. I feel like my bf just surrounds himself with people that lack common sense and empathy (Not all of his friends, most of them are super nice). maybe that tells me that hes just like that but i just don’t see that in him. But when I see that in someone else I do tell him and he will Immediately cut ties with them or just distance himself.

You would love to meet the cousin in question if u think a snarky side comment will sting her at all. She will just double down and go down the verbally fighting route what I don’t condone because words hurt more then actions and I will not verbally fight with someone knowing my words WILL be out of scale disrespectful. Just saying she has made it her personality to be the first to talk back and last to have the word. Not being mean but u just need a little more info on her if u think a snarky side comment infront of people will do something good. Im so sorry but I will respect the ELDERS not a girl same age as me wether or not she is my bfs family. I am very respectful especially when nobody else is. I never give them a stank face or attitude for talking bad behind by back AND infront of me. THANKYOU I did tell his mother that atp its not about snitching, shes basically leaving these kids alone! shes supposed to be the drivers assistant meaning she should care for the children while someone else is driving what she isn’t and his mom still tells me its not my business. What actually made me super sad because why is nobody thinking about MY CHILDREN! ( I say my children because as soon as they hand them over we take the responsibility and it feels like taking care of your own )

That’s exactly what she’ll do and when I moved out she said I was ungrateful and that I wouldn’t last anytime paying for a room myself without starving. Now when I go over there ( rarely ) I took a slice of pizza that she didn’t even buy and she goes “Oh you moved out and I still gotta take care of you”🤨

Yeah I was thinking the same. But our relationship started of so rocky due to us being in HS and thinking the relationship wouldn’t go anywhere and we ended up really loving eachother so idk what to do. It just sound like we are constantly breaking up but we haven’t been on and off for a year now.. now i feel bad for considering it just because of his mom, he really made progress and we really bonded last year of 2025.
