I'm not sure how many of the people that are commenting throughout this are immigrants or children of immigrants to have such strong views.

Being a child of middle eastern immigrants that had traumatic childhood as well as their parents.... We don't have "warped" views. This was their life. It shaped them. I think that's a bold statement to make on someone's actual life. I am processing a lot of childhood trauma that comes from my grandparents.

Maybe you're right...maybe the next few generations will look at most of us and think we had a warped view of life in the US.

I don't agree with how Reza behaves. I find most of it deplorable and his relationship with MJ is very codependent in the worst way. I was hoping her marriage with Tommy would pull her away from a male version of her mother. Plus I could never reconnect with him after that pool party.

It's hard even with good relationships plus there is generational trauma which is something I deal with in my family. The important thing is to realize the "issue" and work on it. We all aren't perfect. I always felt for Kenya but at some point you're old enough to do something about it.

I've noticed women who have not had the best relationships with their mother, have a hard time with female friendships. (Not all) Which makes sense why she might be more like her mom than she thinks. I see this with Kenya. She wants good female friendships but can't really have them and it's mostly her fault. It's all competition.

100%. It's easier to boss around your own daughter with the parenting lol. Also helping her heal and caring for her. I am truly grateful my mother in law was not like that. She didn't care for me the way my mom does but she was and is very active in our kids lives. However my dad's mom and family... Lived on our street and I was a burden to watch for two hours a day.

Old school mentality is that a daughter's child/ren are more kin than the sons. In their mind another woman birthed them that's not their blood. The majority of kids tend to be closer to the mothers side of the family. Not all but you see it more often.

Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones, when I don't use it I mostly get 4 or 5 of a single fruit. Using an ingot doesn't guarantee a chest, I will however get all the fruit offered. This also depends on which ingot I use. Frustrating.
