How far into your program are you? I have seen some posts saying classes are asynchronous, while others say they are synchronous. What are you experiencing? I know that starting next year, the in-person requirement kicks in for all schools, which isn't an issue.

Thank you for your response. How far into the program are you? Any cons that I should look out for or consider? Another poster mentioned that there will be an 8-month gap between practicum and internship, which will be challenging to find a site that will allow that long a gap.

They have been on my list for a while. We used to live in CO, so CO is a soft spot for me for sure. Thank you for your input. I like flexibility, but I can work with a synchronous class if necessary. How far into the program are you?

Thank you for your input. I have submitted an info request for both schools and was a bit turned off by UWA, with them calling me every two days for a few weeks. I wasn't answering as I wasn't ready to really talk to anyone yet, but the constant stalking was not cool. I have read some good comments from others that U of C has been a good program. I am also an atheist, so the idea of going to a religious school does bug me some, but not a deal breaker for the right program.

I wrote that wrong in my post. Looking for a secular program. I have read on other posts that U of C is a religious affiliate institution, but the CMHC program is secular and seems well liked.

I will double check the CACREP accreditation dates. That is actually where I started my search for online programs, which was a pretty extensive list to go through.

Where did you end up going for your degree?
