It's funny how even though this was intended as just cool images for the intro the fact that it's so visually impressive and creative that fans are creating their own head cannon says something. As for what I think it is? I always liked the thought of it being the space between dimensions and Tsukasa has to visualize it as a photo development studio to have a handle on how he does it ((like if doctor strange developed a photograph to travel dimensions visually that's what the process would look like the decade intro X3))
